Friday Five

Happy TGIF guys and dolls!  It is FINALLY Friday and I couldn't be happier that the weekend is finally here!  So tell me - what are your plans this weekend?  Anything fun and exciting?  We aren't doing a lot, I don't think - mainly relaxing, which is always a blessing after our stressful work weeks that we each endure.  Anyway, I have just found the blog "Emmy Mom" and noticed she and The Testosterone Three and Me are co-hosting a Friday Five where you share 5 thoughts and 5 pictures from the week, which I've not participated in, in quite a while, so I thought I would play along this week.  Feel free to play along as well as I would love seeing your Friday Five too.

ONE

Today my mother's husband is undergoing double by-pass surgery and I'm really sad that I can't be there to help support her during this difficult and trying time since I live out of state.  Luckily, his kids are there with her so she's not alone.

TWO

Tonight we are getting together and having dinner with some friends we met on a cruise back in February. It's been a while since we've seen them, so we are really looking forward to it.

THREE

There was a snake - YES a SNAKE on my front porch walkway when I got out of my car last night after work to go in my house.  I was totally freaked out and so thankful that my neighbor across the street was home to come get it and take care of it for me so I could get in my front door.  I screamed and scared the snake as much as he scared me - LOL

FOUR

I seriously need to find another job and STAT as it is a very volitile workplace and I literally make myself sick every.single.day just knowing I have NO choice but to come to this hell hole.  *sigh*

FIVE

My daughter is getting married next month - less than one month away now as of yesterday - YIKES!!! Hard to help plan a wedding and take care of the details when we live in two separate states but still exciting nonetheless! :)

Letting Go.....

Have you ever had something that just hung out in your head 24/7 and that you just couldn't let go of? Well... there is something I have been struggling with for the past 3 years now and have finally came to the conclusion that no matter what, I HAVE TO LET IT GO, not only for my sanity, but my happiness.  I came across something last night that I wanted to share with you and that made me realize that I have been letting this one thing take up way too much space in my head and for way too long.  No matter how hard I've tried, it's been SO hard to let it go.  But... as of today, I am turning over a new leaf and completely letting it go once and for all.  I am no longer letting it consume my life in any form or fashion.  It is kaput and that is that! :)  So.... just remember these words:

And there you have it peeps - I have officially, as of this moment, LET IT GO.  I will no longer allow this situation to control me and my life any longer - I will choose to be happy and quit letting these issues consume my every day life. After all, I have a great life and a happy life, so it is time I get to living it! Update on my stepdad....

Happy Tuesday, guys and dolls!  Hope all is well your way!  Things are going okay here so far - we are waiting on my stepdad's appointment today at noon with his personal cardiologist to learn what the next steps are after his heart attack last week.  I am hoping that they will admit him immediately after today's appointment and do bypass on him tomorrow, to be honest.  They have put a balloon in which is only a temporary fix.  He has 100% blockage in one artery, 85% in another, 75% in another and 60% in another. He has to have bypass regardless, so I can't imagine them waiting any longer to do the procedure - especially when they told him the balloon could collapse any moment......

On another note.... I wanted to share a few pictures of our newest baby girl, Bree.  I'm not sure if any of you have Boston Terrier's or not, but OMG ya'll, they are the SWEETEST most precious babies ever!  And those of you who know me, know we only believed in raising Golden Retrievers - but we have been changed for life by our Bostons.  Not that the goldens aren't still dear to us, as they are - but there is truly just something special about a Boston!

Heart Attack.........

On my way to Arkansas for the weekend to be with my mom - my stepdad had a massive heart attack last night and is in ICU and will undergo bypass surgery later today.  Please send prayers.

Happy Thursday guys and dolls!  Hope all is well your way.  Today I wanted to show you some of my newest and most special favorite pictures ever.... I mean, who can resist this face:

This little handsome guy is my new nephew (my baby brother's new son) and we have a very special bond - even more so now because he was born on my birthday! :)  His sweet and precious face was the best birthday gift I could have gotten this year!  He is a doll and it was one of the hardest things I had to do was leaving him back with his mom and dad in Florida.  Oh well.... just another great reason to go back and visit!

Hey Ya'll! Happy Hump Day!

How are you?  How have you been? I've been missing ya'll and the rest of the bloggy world so much and am SO happy to be back!  I can't wait to catch up on all of your blogs and see what you've been up to since I've been gone.  As you can see, I've changed the name of my blog as we have kind of outgrown "Welcome to our World".  I never really liked that title anyway before, but I didn't know what else to call it when I first started blogging.  Also, hubby and I are pretty much empty nesters anyway, so I think it's time for a change and a complete overhaul for my blog as well.  Does anyone have someone in particular that you just love that can overhaul my blog completely by chance?  If so, please let me know - thanks! :)

Well, work has still been the same stressful place, so I am going to cut this short and pick back up tomorrow.  However, because I don't like to do a post without a picture, I am leaving you with a couple of  my babies:

We have always owned Golden Retrievers and never had Boston Terrier's before, but let me tell you this - they are some of the MOST SWEETEST babies ever around and VERY smart too!  What kind of pet do you have?
