Happy Monday!

Hello everyone! Hope you had a glorious and wonderful weekend. We had a very nice one - very busy but nice. We spent all day Saturday (literally) grocery shopping and getting things that Alliye needed for Volleyball and then we went and had a nice dinner at a Japanese restaurant where we ate at the Hibachi Grill. This was so we could celebrate Alliye making the Junior Varsity volleyball team for the high school and we had a really good time. The food was good at the time we were eating it, however, afterwards, we all got very ill - so I'm not sure what happened but it wasn't pretty. *sigh*

Anyway, then yesterday, the hubster had to work and so I spent a lot of my day finishing up some last minute shopping and then I did some ironing and packing for mine and Steven's upcoming vacation. We are celebrating our 10 year anniversary (2 years LATE) so it will be just he and I and we leave at 3 p.m. this Thursday and can hardly WAIT. We are SO EXCITED! Over the next few days I will give you "hints" as to where we are headed to see if you can guess. My WONDERFUL mother-in-law will be staying with the kiddos as this is their first week of school starting on Wednesday. Both kids are very excited and can hardly wait - they've enjoyed the summer but are so ready to see all of their friends and hang out again. I personally MISS going to school - my mom always said I should have been a professional student - hmmm.... maybe I missed my calling as a school teacher instead? Oh well....

Well, not much news to talk about today so I will leave it at that. But, because I don't like to have a post with no pictures, I will leave you with your first clue - this is the city we will be flying into on Friday morning - any thoughts or clues:

And those of you in the family who KNOW where we are going, are NOT allowed to play -hee hee hee

Have a great day everyone!

Big hugs, Trac~ :o)

Double Post Friday - Part II

My new F.A.V.O.R.I.T.E show!

Have you SEEN this show? It is AWESOME! I am only on the beginning of Season 3 now on my IPOD and can't get enough of it! I L.O.V.E IT!!! Tell me if you watch this show or have seen it and what your thoughts are on it. I especially think Kevin Connolly is H-O-T!!!!

HBO presents Entourage, the hit comedy series that takes a look at the day-to-day life of Vincent (Vince) Chase, a hot young actor in modern-day Hollywood, and his entourage. He's brought with him from their hometown in Queens, NY: manager Eric, half-brother Drama, and friend Turtle. The series draws on the experiences of industry insiders to illustrate both the heady excesses of today's celebrity lifestyle, as well as the difficulty of finding love and success in the fast track of show biz. Now that the boys are getting used to the perks of stardom, Eric, along with superagent Ari, keep Vince's star rising while making sound decisions for a long-lasting career in a world of fleeting fame.

From executive producer and creator Doug Ellin, and executive producers Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson, Denis Biggs, Rob Weiss and Ally Musika, Entourage draws on the experiences of industry insiders, and stars Adrian Grenier as Vince, who is enjoying life in the limelight as a hot young actor; Kevin Connolly as Eric, Vince's manager, who is considering moving into his own place; Kevin Dillon as Vince's half-brother Drama, whose own career has been eclipsed by Vince's success; Jerry Ferrara as Turtle, the least savvy of the group, who's now in a relationship with actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler; and Golden Globe® and three-time Emmy® winner Jeremy Piven as Ari, who serves as Vince's aggressive, high-powered agent.

Also featured on the new episodes of Entourage are series regulars Perrey Reeves as the long-suffering Mrs. Ari; Rex Lee as Ari's long-suffering assistant Lloyd, who's seeking a promotion; Gary Cole as Andrew Klein, Ari's former mentor and new partner; and Emmanuelle Chriqui as Sloan, Eric's on-again, off-again girlfriend. Returning guest stars include Jamie-Lynn Sigler as herself; Beverly D'Angelo as Ari's other partner Babs; Debi Mazar as Vince's publicist Shauna; and Bow Wow as Charlie, Eric's client.

Happy Friday!

Double Post Friday - Part I

Well there are two things I want to talk about today, so it is going to be a double post Friday. The first and most important thing is that I want to brag on my baby girl who is beginning her sophomore year next week and who yesterday made the High School Junior Varsity Volleyball team! We are SO EXCITED and HAPPY for her and I know she's really looking forward to a great season! The best thing is that she and her friend, Courtney, both made the team together, which is even nicer and will be a lot more fun for them both!
So.... way to go sweet pea! We are SO PROUD of you and can't wait to see you in action!

Happy Friday everyone!

Weekend Recap!

Happy Tuesday all my friends and loved ones! Hope you had a very wonderful and blessed weekend and a great Monday yesterday. We had a GREAT time this past weekend, but it went by way too fast for my liking! I had 2 of my favorite people come into town to see me last Thursday night and it started out being an adventure - let me tell you! My mom and sister's plane was due to land in Newark at 9 p.m. Thursday night. However, they had a layover in Atlanta, Georgia and SOMEHOW missed their plane - them and about 20 other people! ACK! So... the hubster and I went to Chili's (in the airport) and decided to sit down and have dinner and some drinks while we waited to hear how everything was going to turn out. Well... needless to say they were booked on another flight out at 7:25 a.m. on Friday morning BUT luckily for them (and us) when they went back to check-in for the next morning's flight out - they were told they had another flight leaving in just a few minutes if they wanted to get on that one instead - WOO HOOO!!!! Sooo... needless to say, hubby and I went home, rested up some, and the kids and I turned around and made the 1 hour drive BACK to the airport at midnight Thursday night to pick them up. But they were in 10 hours earlier than they would have been had they waited for the 7:25 a.m. flight. YAY!!!

On Friday morning, since we didn't get home before 1 a.m. and the hubster had to go to work, I actually slept until 10:30 that morning! WOW! Talk about a lazy morning - it was GREAT! Mom and sister decided they didn't really want to go to the city after all sooo... we decided to hang out at home and get ready at our leisure and then go SHOPPING! What else is a girl to do when she has 3 of her best girls with her (and my son)? - GO SHOPPING OF COURSE! :o)

First off, we decided we'd better get something to eat so we'd have plenty of energy to hit those huge sales we were about to embark on! So Alliye, Michael and myself took them to one of our favorite restaurants down the road, called "The Chatterbox Drive-In". It is a drive-in that actually has the feel of "Arnolds" from the Happy Days years and even has car-hops that actually come out to your car like back in the "old" days.

After we ate, we went to this little outside mall called "Lafayette Village" just a few minutes from the Chatterbox. They were having some AWESOME sales! There are stores there like Bass, Izod and Van Huesen - and they were having 60% off sales PLUS another 10%, 20% and even 40% off THAT - we got some GREAT deals and lots of clothes at wonderful prices!

After we shopped until we dropped, we went home and met Steven, and took off for Pub 199 for some great seafood and drinks! Once we got our bellies full, we decided to take a quick drive on the way home and show them the "Boardwalk" near our house. While there we all opted for some fresh HOMEMADE ice cream - needless to say, I have found my new FAVORITE (when I actually eat ice cream that is) and it is PUMPKIN - DELICIOUS!!!!

Well, this is getting to be quite long so I will end it here and finish up the rest of the weekend with more pictures in tomorrow's post. In the meantime, I will leave you with these wonderful pictures for your enjoyment.

Have a great rest of the day!

Hugs, Trac~ :o)

Welcome to THIRSTY THURSDAY!

As promised, I am attaching a delicious (and my NEW favorite drink) recipe below for your enjoyment. I hope you love it as much as I do!

Malibu Bay Breeze

2 oz Malibu® coconut rum
2 oz cranberry juice
2 oz pineapple juice
1 Cherry

Blend ingredients and serve over ice (in a highball glass) - add cherry on top. You can also add the juice from the jar of cherries which makes it even better!

Now, on to other topics at hand today. Today is my Friday - YAY!!! I will be gone for a few days from posting as I am having two of my favorite peeps (mom and sister):

coming today and staying until Sunday morning so we will be busy, busy, busy! We are going to NYC (they've never been), planning to do lots of shopping and lots of eating and even more visiting and enjoying a few cocktails while we relax. :o)

What is on your agenda for the weekend? Anything fun and exciting? Well whatever it is, take time to relax and enjoy yourself. In the next 2 weeks to come, I will have some VERY EXCITING news to share with you and I can NOT wait!

Big Hugs,
Trac~ :o)

Happy Tuesday My Peeps! :o)

Hey there my goodlookin friends! How is it going? I've been SO busy today that I'm just now getting to take a break and make a post here. Guess that's a good sign as that means I still have my job - luckily! *Whew*

I have decided that my Thursday posts will consist of "THIRSTY THURSDAY" where I will post a new drink for you to enjoy. My handsome hubby has a "Old Lady Liquor Cabinet" as he likes to call it - in our kitchen - but in reality it is his grandmother's old china cabinet that has been passed down to him from his mom many years ago. Anyhoo.... he has several different kinds of liquor and glasses in this cabinet that he is very proud of - so proud that he has it all nice and organized for show. Now mind you, we rarely EVER drink, but we are definitely social drinkers and enjoy having people over to the house to enjoy a cocktail or two on occasion. However, if you didn't know us well, you would take one look at our "old lady liquor cabinet AND our wine collection" and swear we were Alcoholics! HA! So on Thursday look forward to a new Segment for your enjoyment. If you do not drink, you can always leave the alcohol out and make it a "virgin". Also, I am thinking of having a Recipe post day as well for new recipes that I have tried that are tried and true recipes. I haven't decided what day to start those on yet - maybe either Tuesday or Fridays.

So what do you think about the new look of my blog? I have updated it and made it more of a "shabby" look and I am L.O.V.I.N.G. it! :o) Please be sure and leave a comment when you stop by so I will know you were here. And if you have a blog that you'd like for me to link to so others can find you as well, please let me know and I will be glad to do so.

Now....without further adieu..... I am attaching a picture of 2 of my favorite people who are coming to see me in just 2 short days and I am so excited that I can hardly wait!

Have a glorious and blessed day my friends!
Love to all! xxxooo

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend? Ours was so nice and relaxing for a change. On Friday I worked until 9:30 p.m. and then got home around 11:00 - YUCK! Oh well... at least it was Friday night and I didn't have to turn around and get back up at 6:00 to go back to work the next day, so that was a plus! :o) I slept until 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and then hubby and I got up, did the bills, figured out our checkbook, and then went grocery shopping! WOO HOO! :o) I actually really enjoy our time grocery shopping together on the weekends, as it's "our" time together without the kids (most times) and it's just very nice as we both enjoy looking around and seeing what kind of good things we can find. Then we returned home and laid around for a while, did some computer work and then took the kids to a beach party at their friend's house around 3:30 until 9:00. Since the hubster and I had a "free" night without the kiddos - we had a "date" night and enjoyed a movie. We went to see this movie:

It was really good and we had a great time. We also went to Pet Smart afterwards to check out identification tags for our babies, Buddy and Bella. While we were there they were having adoption day. The puppies were SO SAD looking that I wanted to take ALL of them home but refrained. *sigh*

On Sunday we all hung out together at the house, did some housework, cooked some dinner and dessert and hung out some more before turning in early for the night. All in all it was a very wonderful weekend. Steven wasn't feeling well so we didn't make it to church unfortunately. We were going to go on Saturday night but the kids were gone so we decided to try and make it on Sunday instead. Oh well - hopefully next weekend we can make it - we have family coming in this weekend and are going to be very very busy. Then we leave in a couple of weeks for our Europe vacation - YAY! I can't wait!

So... what did you do this weekend? Anything fun and exciting? Once I can figure out HOW to post links to other people's website, I will post the dessert I made here for you to enjoy - it was really simple and made out of Ice Cream Sandwiches - YUMMY!!!

Hugs, Trac~ :o)

HAPPY FRIDAY!! WOO HOO!!

This will be a quick post - it's going to be a VERY LOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG DAY AND NIGHT here at the office, so I really can't stay around and ponder my thoughts today. We don't have anything planned for the weekend thankfully, so it will be just a relaxing time around the house for some cooking/cleaning and preparing ourselves for the visit with my mom and sister who come up next Thursday for the weekend and I can hardly WAIT! I've not seen my mother since last October and I haven't seen my sister since June and I am really looking forward to some quality "girl" time with them in the coming week. :o)

What are you plans for the weekend? Anything new and exciting going on? Well... the boss is calling - gotta hop! Have a great rest of the day and a wonderful weekend!

Hugs, Trac~ :O)

Our Visit with James

Well it is Thursday and James had to return to Florida - I'm sure his wife and furbabies are really missing him after him being gone for 4 days without them. I think he had a great time and I know the kids really enjoyed seeing him. He and Steven had some really good quality time together as well, which was also very important. On Tuesday Mike, Steven and James went to NYC for the day and I got to have lunch with them and then they waited around for me to get off work so we could ride back home together, which was nice. I wasn't able to spend a lot of time with James, but am glad that the kids and Steven were able to get a lot of good time in with him.

On Wednesday James and Steven and the kids went to Radio Shack and bought the kids new laptops to begin the school year with and they couldn't be MORE excited! Luckily for us, James is also a computer geek and was SO HELPFUL in helping get their new laptops set up along with our wireless router for us to all have the internet in the house. Their laptops are really going to come in handy for the school year.

UPDATE: Just heard from the hubby and James's plane was cancelled and so now he flies out at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow instead. Poor James - I know he's ready to get home to his family and he misses them as much as they are missing him. I promise, Nisa, he will be home SOON sweetie! :o) Hope to see you next time as well - we missed having you too!
