Monday, Monday - Weekend Recap

Happy Monday guys and dolls.  Hope you had a fantastic weekend!  We had a lot of this and that going on this weekend, but it was still a very nice and relaxing one to say the least.  Here is a quick recap:

Friday night consisted of just coming home and relaxing and catching up on our DVR shows

Saturday morning we got up bright and early and finished up the laundry, did a few chores around the house and then we took off to the Tanger Outlet Mall in Texas City for a day of shopping.  I was in DIRE need of some new work clothes (mainly blouses) and Brooks Brothers was having a killer deal! I got 7 pieces for a total of $288 - see... I told you - a deal! :)

Afterwards, we were only about 20 minutes from downtown Galveston, so we went to the Strand and walked around doing some more shopping and enjoying a few adult beverages and a late lunch/early dinner.  We also did some CHRISTmas tree ornament shopping and I got a few more pieces to go on my tree. Then we headed back to the house and watched our beloved Hogs whip up on LSU again for the 2nd year in a row and got to bring the Boot back to Arkansas where it belongs:

On Sunday, I slept in until 7:30 and then got up and started my CHRISTmas decorating around the house and can't wait to show you some of the final results.  I actually completed my entire tree yesterday once and for all.  Granted, I have been working on it now for at least a week.  You know how long it takes to get a huge tree fluffed and decorated, right?! I'm SO happy that part is over.  My mantle is completed now and the stockings are hung.  Yes, I do realize it is only the 16th of November, however, we decided we wanted to be able to enjoy our December this year without still trying to decorate for CHRISTmas.  But, I am also being a rebel too, because my kitchen has all of my THANKSgiving decorations on the table as I refuse to skip one holiday to go to the next and this year we have a lot to be thankful for.

Today is the big day - we should finally find out WHEN they are going to induce our daughter this week so that we get to finally meet our handsome little grandson once and for all. My daughter has gotten to the point we all do when pregnant, completely miserable, and she is more than ready for that baby to be here for more than one reason.  I will keep you posted, so stay tuned! :)

Hump Day and Weekend Recap

Happy Wednesday lovies! How are you today?  Great, I hope!  All is well here, just been a super busy last few days since returning from Arkansas for my daughter's baby shower.  Sheesh, who knew it could be so hard giving a baby shower? I am SO happy it's over, however, I think it turned out pretty awesome and she received a lot of nice gifts as well.  We had about 20 people total, which I thought was a great turnout.

See... you were warned! LOL  This bottom picture is one of me and my absolute 5 besties and I don't know when, if ever, I've had them all in the same room in our lifetime, so I HAD to make sure we got a picture to commemorate the occasion for sure.

On another note, my Hogs whooped up on UTEP last weekend, so that was a WIN/WIN with a great shower turnout and a Razorback win!  Next up.... Happy TGIF AND FOOTBALL Weekend!!!

Happy TGIF my peeps!  What are your weekend plans for this wonderful and long 3 day weekend?  Going to the lake perhaps?  Hanging out home?  Hubby and I are headed to our home state of Arkansas to hang with some of our besties and watch the HOG game on TV Saturday afternoon into the evening and I for one - CAN NOT WAIT!!!  It has been WAY TOO LONG since Football season was here and I live for this time of year - football, fall weather and then on into the holidays.  If you are a football fanatic like I happen to be - who is your favorite team that you root for and who are you playing this weekend?  Us? We are playing Auburn:

I am hoping for a huge win for my Razorbacks - or a small win - I don't really care - just as long as my beloved Razorbacks WIN AND BEAT Auburn! :) So... tell me - what are your plans this weekend?  Can't wait to hear all about them!
