Blue Man Group and Another CSN Stores Review

Happy Monday my peeps!  How was your weekend?  Ours was great and we had a WONDERFUL time yesterday in the City seeing the Blue Man Group and celebrating my husband's birthday.  Here are a few pictures from our day and the celebration:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can't tell it by these pictures, but my poor husband was beginning to feel miserable again and sick like had been last week.  I told him we could try and re-schedule the show and the trip but he really, really wanted me and the kids to see the show so he powered through the day.  Talk about a trooper! :)  These pictures are all from the slideshow they were playing outside the theatre before we went in.  Unfortunately, they wouldn't allow any type of camera inside the show and the bad thing is that one of the blue men came to where we were sitting and interacted with my husband and I wasn't able to capture it on video or film at all - *sigh*  Oh well - it was cool at least and we all had a great time so I guess that's most important, right?! :)


On another note, I was recently asked if I would like to do another review for the CSN Stores and of course, I jumped right on that and immediately said Yes!  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the CSN Stores and shop there whenever I get the chance.  They have a lot of items to choose from in their over 200 online stores where you can find everything from stylish Modern dining room furniture to cute cookware to chic lighting pieces! I am actually thinking of reviewing one of these:

 

And the reason is because when we got home from running errands on Saturday night, our little powder puff, Sophie, had literally CHEWED thru the area where her zippers closed on her kennel which looks like this:

and she was running wild in our garage upon our return.  Luckily, there wasn't anything in there she could really get into that was poisionous or that she could get hurt on, but, it worried me enough that I decided I'd better get something more sturdy (and steel) that she couldn't chew thru! LOL

Birthday Celebration - Blue Man Group Style

Happy Sunday guys and dolls!  How the heck are you?  How has your weekend been so far?  Ours has been good, but busy as usual.  The hubby is feeling so much better now and it's a good thing because we are celebrating his 42nd birthday today and me and the kids are taking him to see The Blue Man Group in NYC and he is SO excited (as are we)! 

He has seen them in Las Vegas before with his company that he used to work for many years ago and has been dying to see them again and to take me and the kids with him.  So as a surprise, when I got my Christmas bonus this year, I bought tickets for him right away.  His real birthday is on Thursday, January the 12th, but it's much easier to celebrate birthdays on the weekend as opposed to during the week, so that's what we're doing! :)  My kids and I have never seen them before and can't wait to see them ourselves.  We have good seats and I think it's going to be a lot of fun.  I'm sure I can't take pictures with flash in the theatre but I hope to get some sort of pictures during the day while there and on our way there and back so I can show you on Monday.

Well, I guess I'd better run - we have to go catch the bus to the City and get our day and the celebration started.  So Happy Birthday (early) to the most wonderful, loving and patient man I know and who has put up with me for over 13 years now.  I love you honey with all of my heart and thank God that he sent you my way all of those many years ago.

Happy Birthday to My Honey

Instead of my usual post it note Tuesday I am dedicating this post to my one and only true love.  He is absolutely the love of my life and I don't  know how or what I would ever do without him.  Now, don't get me wrong, during our 12 years of marriage we have had our ups and downs and been through major trials and tribulations but always come out together on the other side stronger than ever. 

Let me give you a little background on our relationship - (This is going to be more than one post as the story is quite long):

The first time we met (we actually met 5 years prior to when we got together), we met at a Honky Tonky in Little Rock, Arkansas called BJ's Honkey Tonk.  He was with his best friend J.H. (whom, incidently, I went to college with first and hung out and partied with) and I was with my best friend, J.W.  When we met that night neither he nor myself liked each other.  I was chasing a tall cowboy and he was chasing a tall blond hair girl. The buddy he was with told him that I was wild and he didn't need to pursue me because I was not what he was looking for (another story for another time) - LOL.

Anywho, fast forward 5 years later and we meet up again at the same bar except this time he was with his brother and other friends and I was with the same best friend as 5 years before.  When we met he thought I was 19 years old (I was 29) and that I got in on a fake ID.  (Neither one of us knew at this point that we had actually met 5 years prior)  He made me show him my driver's license and even tried to scratch off my date of birth, etc.  Once he confirmed that I was 29 years old he told his brother and friends to back off that I was all his.  (Pretty presumptious of him, dontcha think) :o)  He bought me a few beers and we talked and slow danced and learned that we each had a 3 year old child from a previous marriage and that we had a lot in common.  At the end of the night he asked for my number and I gave him my 1-800 number at work - he still hasn't let me live that down . HA HA!

He called me the next day and asked me out on a date for that night.  I actually tried cancelling the date 3 times that day due to not having a sitter and after the 3rd time he decided that since our kids would be involved if we did start seeing each other that we would go on our first date together with our two 3 year olds.  We went to a place called Playworld in Conway and they have the big ball pits, games, and food.  So after playing for a while, we sat down to eat pizza and while eating he said that he saw an angel appear over us that told him that was the way it would be from that day forward - the 4 of us as a family.   After dinner we left and my stepson (who was only 3 years old at the time, remember) sang the entire Celine Dion tape word for word to me on our way home and they sent me and my daughter a dozen red roses the next day thanking us for the date.   AWWWWW..........
