Tell All Thursday....errrr.... maybe

Happy Thursday guys and dolls.  Hope you're having a great week so far.  Don't ask me about the title to this post - it was just something that came to me as I opened the browser - HA!  But, the reason it came to me is because I knew what my post was going to be about this morning due to my emotions.  I've never been completely candid with all of you regarding the issues that I have gone through since last June - nor am I about to start now.   Some things just need to remain private, if you know what I mean.  At least for the time being anyway.  I don't like to spread my dirty laundry all over the net for everyone to see.

Anyway, things have been getting better lately but I am still finding myself a complete emotional mess and I truly do not know why.  The only thing I can think of is that I am still in so much pain that I don't know HOW to move past the hurt of the past 7 months.  One day I am on cloud 9 and the other I am a sobbing mess and wondering how I'm going to cope and move forward.  I have finally started trying to take care of ME for a change and decided to join Weight Watchers again to get myself back on track.  So far, after 2 weeks - I've lost about 2.5 lbs. - which isn't great really - but... it's something.  Once I can get myself settled in with the food aspect, then I will add in the exercising part - I don't want to shock my system into its new reality - LOL

So... again, I'm sorry this post is such a downer - but it's just been one of those years.  I am hoping and praying that 2012 brings much more peace in my life and less emotional outbursts on my part - *sigh*  Just know that while I may not post here much anymore, nor comment on your posts much anymore - I am still around and checking in on you daily.  I'm hoping that after the next set of changes on the horizon that I will finally get back on track and get back to doing the things I love to do that bring me happiness - such as blogging.

On another note - here's a funny for you today:

Yes, I know - it's been a LOOOONNNGG TIME since I've posted anything.  To be honest, life has just taken over lately and I've not had a chance to do much of anything extra like blog and I miss it and YOU guys terribly!  I can't promise when I will be back on a normal basis, but I wanted to let you know that I'm still "here".  I hope all is well with you and your families and that the New Year is treating you well.

To Tired to Think - Random Thoughts

Happy Tuesday my peeps.  This is going to be short and sweet this morning, as I am just too tired to think.  I know my posts the past few days have been lacking but it has been such a busy weekend and I'm still trying to get caught up on my sleep and rest in general which is why I've not had too much to say.

However, I am also trying to get caught up on your blogs as well and promise to comment soon.  Just don't give up on me and know that I am here lurking currently.  I can't wait to show you my "cheap" loot that I scored over the weekend with my extreme couponing to the max - though there were some lessons learned that's for sure. 

Tonight my good friend, E, is taking me out to dinner because tomorrow is my bday and I am really looking forward to just hanging out with her for a little while.  We usually have coffee every morning before work, so it will be nice to enjoy dinner and a glass or two of wine as well this week. :o)  Also, next week (Monday), I will be showing you what I made for my mother for her Mother's Day gift.  I can't show it to you now, obviously, just in case she decides to pick this week to stop by and read my blog! LOL

Just keeping it real

Happy Tuesday my friends!  First off, I wanted to welcome my newest followers (hey you - yeah you - you know who you are - WELCOME!) :o)  Secondly, I wanted to say thank you to all of you that stopped by yesterday and gave me your thoughts and ideas for my closet dilema.  I think we are going to try and go with the curtain and see if we can make it look nice - even though it is in the living room.  *sigh*  Hopefully, it will turn out better than we expect.  We shall see and I promise to post pictures once it is complete.

On another note - do you ever get into one of those funks that you just can't get out of?  I hate those kinds of days and yesterday was one of THOSE days.  It seems that when I get that way, I go into a state of depression because I don't feel pretty enough or skinny enough, or stylish enough, etc.  And when I get that way, I get more depressed because I miss "home", family and my friends back in Arkansas, which only makes it worse.  I have a great couple of friends here that I adore and am SO thankful for them - otherwise each day would be even harder.  Also, when I get into that mood, I don't care if I eat a bunch of junk, etc and just blow up like a balloon - but then it gets me into that pattern and makes me even feel worse - see... a never ending vicious cycle - *sigh*   And, by no means do I have it "rough".  I actually have a great life, great friends, great job and even better husband and family who love me.  I know there are a lot of people out there who are much worse off than me and that's why I hate those days even more - because I know, in fact, how good I have life.  Which is another reason I feel bad when I get into one of "those" moods - because I truly have it good and have no reason to get down on myself and wish for more. 

Anyway, just wanted to say thank you to all of you who stop by and comment and leave me love each day.  I am sorry to be such a debbie downer today - it must be all of the rainy weather.  This has just been an awful and very long winter and I think I just need some sunshine - what do you think?! :)  I promise a much more happy post tomorrow!

Just keeping it real

It's Thursday...........

Happy Thursday guys and dolls.  How the heck are you?  Great, I hope!  How was your night?  Do anything good?  We didn't do much really - my daughter had to have a physical for work and then afterwards, me and my son met my husband and daughter for a "treat".  (I actually got off work early - WOW) We went to the local diner for dinner - something we've not done in quite a while!  It was SO nice to actually sit down as a family together and talk about our day - something else we've not done in quite a while.  Our two "babies" are both teenagers now with their own lives and my husband and I stay so busy with our jobs now and the hours we both put in - that it is truly a rareity (sp?) for us to sit down and have a "family" dinner.  I miss those days when the kids were little and we didn't have to run them all over the place and could actually have "family" time.  It breaks my heart for those days to be gone.  I used to try and do it at least on Sunday nights but now my daughter has a weekend job and so that went out the window because she is never home on Sunday evenings until after 9 p.m. sooo.... What about you and your family?  Do you have family sit down dinner time together?  I'd love to hear your stories so please share!

Tomorrow we are having a Secretarial luncheon at work so stay tuned for a wonderful dip recipe that I am going to share with you.  It's been in the family for a while (though I've seen several versions of it online too).  I think it is one you will greatly enjoy.  It is a different type of dip but one that you will not be able to stop eating and is perfect for the upcoming holidays....promise! :O)

Anyway, how was your day?  I know this is short and sweet today and I'm sorry that I don't have much time to do a "real" post - but, it's "that" time again so I must hop and get ready for work and get my "babies" up for school.

It's Thursday...........

Random - Friday, CSN Stores, WW Weigh-In

Looks like we made it! YAY!  This has been ONE of those weeks and I am literally about to go crazy to say the least ya'll!  I can't wait to sleep in on Saturday morning for a change instead of having somewhere to be, and early at that.  So what is on your agendas for the weekend?  I hope that we are able to finally get our garage cleaned out again and more stuff donated, but we'll see.  And I hope to either decide on a stain or paint color for the trunk that I've been working on.  I am still taking suggestions so feel free to let me know your ideas as well. :o)  We only have 2 weeks from today til we leave for vacation and I can NOT wait! :o)  This is going to be a very random post so just bear with me, um kay?! :O)

Paula Deen 9" x 13" Stoneware Baker - since I LOVE to bake (as those of you who've been around these parts for a while know about me) I can't wait to try this!

Rachael Ray 3-in-1 "Veg-A-Peel" Potato Peeler/Brush - I'm always searching for tools like this that are compact and take up very little space in my kitchen drawers and such. :o)

Once I have received these goodies and tried them out, you'll be the first to know! :o)  Also, Jason Zimelman, who is a part of the wonderful promotions team of the CSN Stores, has given me his permission to let you know that if you would like to review a product or have a give-away for the CSN Stores, just send him an email with your request.  His information can be found here.  He is very nice and easy to work with and will guide you effortlessly through it all. :o)

Okay - so today is my normal weekly WW Weigh-In and the verdict for this week is: 127.4 which means I am only down 6/10ths of a pound since last week - but that's okay - I will take it.  It is my lowest weight in a very very long time. :o)

It's a Bee-uti-ful Mornin....

I think I wanna go outside for a while..... (I can't think of the rest of the lyrics but you get the point) LOL

Anywho.... I was awoken to this GREAT view and SOUNDS this morning and am enjoying every.single.minute.of.it!  We were in desperate need of some rain and when the storms rolled through this morning around 8:30 with a HUGE KABOOM where lightning struck the ground somewhere close to my house and the rumbles of thunder shook it and woke me up - I was in HEAVEN.  You see, I am one of those "weirdos" who absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE rain and thunderstorms! Thankfully, my husband is just like me - so see... we do make the perfect pair! HA!  As much as he and I love the rain we really should be living in Seattle, Washington! :o)

Here are just a few shots out my door this morning:

I took about 20 pictures of the bottom one here just because I was TRYING to catch those droplets in mid-air as they were falling off my roof - but as you can see - I wasn't quick enough to do that.  But, you get the idea anyway - right?!

Well, I'm off to finish my morning coffee, and get started on my chores for the day.  I'm so happy this morning for the rain that I am actually going to get out in it and go run errands as well.  I am living dangerously today can't you tell?!  I may even wear my rainboots! HA HA HA!

Random Post of Sorts

Happy Tuesday my friends!  Hope you were lucky enough to have the day off yesterday, like I was.  I did a lot of painting in my living room but still wasn't able to get it all complete like I had hoped to after 2 days of going at it.  But it is looking much better than it did and the hubster put up a lot of crown molding, which makes it look even nicer.  I can't wait to get it all finished and share the pictures with you.  We are already loving the new look even though we still have a long way to go on it.  Today will be a random post of sorts - hope you don't mind! :o)

Here are a few pictures of our front and side yard after the 14" of snow we got last week. This was a few days after it had finally quit snowing - as you can see - we still had/have a LOT of snow and are expecting another 4-6 inches again tonight too.

On another note - here are a few pictures that I took from mine and husby's day out when we went to lunch and also to IKEA shopping.  Poor thing - he didn't feel well at all but was still a trooper and took me to a wonderful lunch and shopping afterwards.  However, we didn't have any luck at IKEA as they were in the middle of more remodeling which totally messed up our plans.  Oh well.... anyway - on

This was our wonderful chicken, rice and fries - OMG it was AWESOME and only $6.50 per plate! It was so much food we couldn't even eat it all.
