Friday Faves

Happy Happy Friday dolls! Even though this was a short week for me, it felt like an extremely long one for sure and I for one am SO happy it's over.  With that being said, come play along with the Friday Favorites link up, or go check out the other ladies playing along and find some great new blogs to read! :)

one - Baby A
I love getting pictures like this daily. I know I probably bore ya'll to death with him, but I just can't help but smile when I see his precious face

two - Tshirts
I am forever a tshirt, jean type of girl. Here are a few of my faves this week. Naturally there are a couple of Hog shirts. :)

And who doesn't love some Ms. Olivia Pope?! I need this shirt! HA!

And I just love the looks and colors combined of this one

three - Coupon Hauls
I paid a total of a $1.88 out of pocket for all of this after coupons

And they actually owed me money on this one when I left, so total out of pocket for all of this was ZERO - $0. That's my kind of bargain shopping! :)

four - Mani/Pedi
I love getting pampered and am in love with this pretty Wine color

five - Valentines from my mom
She knows things at work have been pretty crappy lately and I was so happy to get to spend Valentine's Day with her back home in Arkansas.  This is what she had waiting on me on our bed when we got there. Moms are the BEST! :)

Well, there are my favorites this week.  What about you?! I can't wait to check yours out.  Have an awesome day and an even better weekend friends! Thanks for stopping by to say hello. :)

Lots of love and hugs,

Confession Thursday - Extreme Couponing

Happy Thursday dolls! We have officially made it over the hump and are on the downhill side now. Only one more day to go until the weekend and I have a solid 4 days off - whoop whoop! Today I'm linking up with Jenn and Jess for Confessions Thursday.

Today I have time for only one confession and it is a DOOZIE!!! :)

-- I confess that my name is Tracy and I am a couponaholic. Ya'll I've been a coupon-er for many years and have even found a lot of great extreme coupon deals, but NEVER to this extreme and I am SO excited and can't wait to show you my EXTREME haul yesterday after work.

Okay, so I know you won't believe me, as I can barely believe it myself, BUT ya'll, I PROMISE I ONLY paid tax of 36 CENTS for ALL of this! I've never used Dollar General's digital coupons before, but let me tell you - I am a believer of that now for sure! I'm going back this weekend to get more! LOL

So tell me - are you a coupon queen? What are your confessions today? Have a great day - I'm off to an employee meeting now - woo hoo!!!! :)

Walgreens Trip, Birthday Gift & Flowers

Happy Thursday my friends!  How are you?  How is your week going so far?  Great, I hope!  Mine is going okay - not too good, but not too bad either.  Last night on my way home I decided to stop at Walgreens and use my Register Rewards that I had earned to pick up a few things we needed at home and a few fun items for Halloween.  Check out my loot:
Glass Halloween Jar - $5.99
Sparkly Halloween Sign - $3.99
Poptarts - $2.99
Kraft Cheese - $4.59
M&M's - .69
Laffy Taffy - .30

After coupons - $1.31

Woo hoo!!!  See - I told you those coupons are paying off.  Once you learn how and get the hang of it, it really saves you a ton of moo-lah! :)

Also, I made a birthday present for our receptionist who is turning 30 years old this Friday that I found here and it turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself.  I really think she'll get a huge kick out of it!  Take a look and let me know what you think:
Also, I have to show you another beautiful rose from our rose garden that my hubby picked for me and put in one of my pretty light pink vases that I picked up at a yard sale or goodwill for mere pennies - aint she purty :)
Well, that's it for today I guess.  I hope you lovies are having a wonderful day and an awesome week so far.  Only one more day til Friday and the weekend - Woo hoo!!!  Thanks so much for stopping by and saying hello.

Lots of love and hugs,

Weekend Recap - Extreme Couponing Style

Happy Monday friends!  Yeah, I know, I know - it's been a few days since my last post but things were just beyond my control over that.  Can you forgive me? ;)  I'm really, really hoping that once school starts back up that I am going to start having a lot more time than normal - wish me luck - HA!

Anyway, we spent a lot of time around the house working this weekend.  We are still just trying to get our home back in order and back to the way we want it to be.  So we are replanting flower bushes in the front yard, bark, etc... But, while the hubby and my kiddos were doing all the hard manual labor in the heat - I was enjoying the nice cool air conditioning and did some major couponing this weekend at Wal-Greens!  WOOT WOOT!!!  Check it out:

All of this was $140.11 RETAIL and I only paid $31.60!!!

The crayons were $1 with a $1 rebate so they were "FREE"

Keri Lotion was Buy one at $5.99 each and get $5 back to make it .99 cents - however I had a $2 off coupon - which made it $1.01 overage and made it a MONEY MAKER!!!

The toothpaste was but 2 for $6 - and get $4 back - plus I had a $1 off coupon - so that made them each 50 cents after everything.  The other items were just filler items.  All of the ink pens were on sale for 29 cents each and I got them all free and only paid 16 cents tax for 3 sets because I used the $1 back from the crayons!!

Anyway, that's my weekend - how was yours?  Did you do anything fun and exciting or any extreme couponing??? Hee hee hee

Have a great day! I have to run before I'm late.  Thanks for stopping by to say hello and I will catch up on your blogs something throughout the day.

Lots of love and hugs,

Extreme Couponing to the Max!

Happy Thursday my peeps and welcome!  As promised, I have FINALLY got my stuff together to show you my first (but certainly not my last) extreme couponing from last weekend.  There were also some lessons learned and some frustrations along the way.

On Friday I made sure I had all of my coupons clipped and ready to go so when I got to the store I would have them all in order so I could get in and get out, so to speak.  Welllllllll.... 3 hours later.................... I finally got to the checkout and got hit with a HARD reality.  First off, I should have prefaced this to say that my local Pathmark store had 3 days only of TRIPLE COUPONS so I wanted to really take advantage of that sale!  So... I got to the checkout only to be told they ONLY allowed TEN (10) coupons total per order, per day - ACK!  WHAT??!!! I began to have a panic attack - then I said - okay - well let's split the orders into separate orders and they said NOPE can't do that either - OMG!!!!! Needless to say, I really was panicking by that point.  So...... they said they would keep all of my stuff in my basket with my name on it and I could pick it up the next day.

Here is my first haul that Friday night with my TEN coupons:
Total Retail - $34.58
Total Paid out of Pocket - $1.39

On Saturday I made SEVERAL trips to the store so I could go back and get all of my stuff that I had to leave behind!  This time I took my husband and we split up our baskets and went in two different lines with 10 coupons each -

Here is our second haul combined:
Total Retail -  $60.26
Total Paid out of Pocket - $12.00

My next haul:
Total Retail - $27.60
Total Paid out of Pocket - $8.24

My last 3 hauls didn't get any pictures taken for some reason but here is the breakdown:

Total Retail - $47.21
Total Paid out of Pocket - $23.20

Do you see any problems with the last three hauls?  Yeah - the out of pocket wasn't so good compared to the total retail - right?  Well there is a reason for that - each time I went in there were different checkers working and each one did it all different.  Some would use two or three coupons per item and others wouldn't - this is why they say it's VERY important to make sure you have your store's corporate policy with you at all times.  That way you can show it to the cashiers and say - um.... no - this is what you are supposed to do!  *sigh*

Overall for all of my shopping trips combined for the wekeend- my total Retail was $169.65 total for all of my groceries (though I think there was another order in there somewhere that I am missing) and my total out of pocket spent was $44.83.  I'm not sure how exactly to figure out the percentage of my savings so I can't tell you what my savings were overall.

My next goal is to figure out exactly how to learn the coupon system for Wal-Greens, CVS and Rite Aid.  Once I have that figured out I will pass along those hints as well.  However, since I also found out that my store, Pathmark, doubles coupons EVERY.SINGLE.DAY I WILL be going back and taking advantage of THAT!  I still have a lot to learn with stacking coupons and such, and I will gladly share my findings as I figure them out along the way - but I feel that I am at least on my way to saving a lot more money for my family and using the coupon system to my advantage.  Unlike some of the people on the TLC show Extreme Couponing, however, I wll not be clearing the shelves of 78 bottles of mustard - LOL  I will just be buying what my family will and can use and then anything above that will be donated to shelters, etc.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by to say hello!  P.S.  Thanks to everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes yesterday as well - I had an absolutely awesome day and will be posting pictures from my birthday celebrations on Friday.

Lots of love and hugs,
