Friday Follow - A Celebration of Followers :o)

Welcome to the weekly Friday Follow celebration hosted by One 2 Try, Hearts Make Families and Midday Escapades! These lovely ladies invite you to join them every Friday to get more blog followers and to follow other interesting blogs. It is all about sharing and having fun. I have already met some amazing bloggers out there and love to meet new people so be sure and come play along now, you hear?! :o)  Here is what their website says about how you can join the celebration:

-Link up your blog name and URL using the MckLinky on ONE of the Friday Follow hostesses websites. You only have to go on one blog to be seen on all the blog hops;

-Follow the Friday Follow hostesses listed in the first 3 slots;

-Follow as many blogs as you’d like;

-Comment on the blogs telling them you’re from Friday Follow;

-Follow back when you get a new follower through Friday Follow; and

-This list is new each week. The links do not carry over. Please link up each week for new participants to find your blogs. This list is only open to add your blog links on Fridays. It will be visible all week to visit the blogs listed.  So come join and play along and get to know more of these wonderful bloggers in the blog world!

Whew - that's all there is to it - see.....easy peasy! :o)  So, what are your weekend plans? Anything new and exciting happening your way?  Not much is happening here.  However, Mother Nature has heard my prayers begging for warm, sunny and beautiful weather and has decided to grace us with it beginning today and tomorrow.  It is going to be a WONDERFUL 87 degrees here tomorrow and I.CAN'T.WAIT! Other than that, it's the same ol, same ol - normal household chores, cleaning out the garage, grocery shopping, etc.  Oh yeah - and I have officially joined a Jazzercize class as of yesterday and will be starting my first class on Saturday morning at 9:40 and I am so excited! I was going to do the kickboxing class but because of my knees, decided against it.  I hope that the Jazzercise class won't be so hard on them.  So... that's all we have happening - what's on your agenda?

I hope all of you have a wonderful and blessed Friday - we finally made it - thank goodness- YAY!!!!  I truly don't think I could have made it one more day this week.  Yeah, it's been that kind of week.  *sigh*

Happy Weekend, ya'll and thanks for stopping by!

Lots of love and hugs,

Thank you very much

It's Free Therapy Day!! That's right, it's Thursday, which means it's the Thank You Very Much day. The way it works is that you take out all your frustrations on people/things that peeved you off during the week and thank them in a very sarcastic way, for being who or what they are/doing what they did. I know everyone can use some free therapy, so be sure to go visit Kmama over at The Daily Dribbles and link your post up and play along!

~ To my 2 beautiful teenage children who insist on arguing with me on everything I tell them because they think they know it all -  Thank you very much

~ To my wonderful boss that I really love and respect for telling me we were staying late to work on a document only to come out 30 minutes before my bus was leaving and wonder what I was still doing there and making me have to run and catch my bus and pray that I got there on time since it was the last bus my way for another hour - Thank you very much

~ To my freezer who refuses to produce ice though there is water running through the ice maker line - Thank you very much

~ To my head who decided to wake up with THE most killer headache that I've had in quite a while this morning and make me feel like I have to cancel my first kickboxing class tonight if it doesn't improve - Thank you very much

~ To Mother Nature for FINALLY getting her crap together and sending us some GORGEOUS, SUNNY and WARM temps for a change including this coming weekend - Thank you very much

~ To the cute little girl on the bus yesterday afternoon sitting in front of me who continued to sing itsy bitsy spider NON.FREAKING.STOP the entire ride home yesterday while her mother did other things and didn't even ask her to sing quietly - Thank you very much

Okay my friends - that's all I can think of right now.  I am off to drink my coffee and get ready for my day.  I hope that you all have a wonderful and blessed day!  We are only 1 more day away from Friday and the weekend - WOO HOO! :o)

It's Monday Again, Recipe and a Giveaway!

Happy Monday my peeps! How are you?  How was your weekend?  We had an awesome weekend but as always, it went by way too fast.  Seems there is never enough hours in the day to get everything done that I want to do and the 2 days for a weekend just is not enough time.  ACK!  It has been pouring down rain here all night and tons of lightning, etc. and it's still raining which made it very hard to get out of bed today.  I am looking forward to going back to sleep on the bus this morning.  LOL!  Of course, along with the rain, came the cool temps again - it's going to be 56 degrees today - UGH! I really enjoyed our 70 degree temps and beautiful sunshine on Saturday.  Summer, where are you?! *sigh*

Anyway, my good friend, Steven, over at No Excuse, No Explanation, asked me last week to post my Hashbrown Casserole recipe and I've just now gotten the chance to do so.  I hope you enjoy it.  This is a staple at our house - mainly at the holidays - Thanksgiving and Christmas - but is great any time of year.

HASHBROWN CASSEROLE

1 Bag (32 oz) Frozen Hasbrowns (I prefer the little chopped square ones)
1 Stick Butter Melted
1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup
12 oz. Grated American Cheese (I use Velveeta)
1 8 oz. Sour Crea
1 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Small Onion Chopped
2 Cups Crushed Cornflakes
1 Stick Butter Melted (This is not a typo)

DIRECTIONS:

Spread thawed hashbrowns in 9x13 glass baking dish.
Mix the first 6 ingredients in a large bowl and pour over hasbrown potatoes.
Pour cornflakes on top and spread out evenly on top.
Pour last stick of melted butter on top of cornflakes.
Cook on 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

That's all there is to it - easy peasy!  Let me know if you decide to try it out and how you and your family like it.  Our family loves it and could eat it year around!

On another note - please check out Extreme Personal Measures and enter Denise's giveaway to win the Rachel Ray Bakeware that she and CSN stores are giving away.  But hurry! You only have until Tuesday, April 27th at 11:59 p.m. EST to enter.  Or... if you really really like me - you'll not enter so that I can have a better chance of entering! HA!  Just kidding - run and enter and while you are there - check out her wonderful blog - I just found her and her blog is awesome! :o)

Okay - so now I'm off to get my coffee and get my day started.  I hope you all have a wonderful and glorious Monday.  Stay dry! :o)

Weekend Recap and Lovely Awards

Hello my friends!  Happy Monday!   How are you?  How was your weekend?  Did you do anything fun and exciting?  We didn't do a lot this weekend, which was nice for a change.  After being the first full week back to work after vacation we were completely worn out and exhausted - mainly due to the long hours we put in and just trying to get back into the swing of things and back to our normal routines. I slept until 10:30 yesterday morning - WOW - that is UNHEARD of for me! HA!  But apparently my body was telling me that I needed that rest.  :o)

Yesterday afternoon, I tried using my automatic oven cleaner system to clean my oven, but all it did was smoke up our entire house and make it smell terribly. (The kids had spilled some cheese or something in the bottom when they were making pizza)  It literally ran us out of our house for a while and I had to shut it off after it only being on for about 10 to 15 minutes.  There is a terrible smell throughout the house of something and I don't know what it is - I guess it's best described as the smell of the spray on oven cleaner.  Does anyone know by chance how to get that smell OUT of the house?  I had all of the doors and windows opened airing it out most of the day yesterday and even sprayed tons of Febreeze throughout the house last night trying to get rid of the smell by morning - however, I can still smell it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated if you can help me out. :o)

On another note, I received some lovely awards from two wonderful and beautiful women while I was away on vacation and am just now getting the chance to post about them.  So thank you ladies for honoring me with these lovely awards.  You guys ROCK and I am so happy to be getting to know you as time goes on. :o)

The first one is from my sweet friend Petty Witter over at Pen and Paper.  She gave me the Prolific Blogger Award:
A prolific blogger is someone who "is intellectually productive… keeping up an active blog that is filled with enjoyable content".  Awww... thank you so much, Petty! You are such a sweetie that I'm really enjoying getting to know! :o)  Now here are the rules for this award:

1. Every winner of the Prolific Blogger Award has to pass on this award to at least seven other deserving prolific bloggers.

2. Each Prolific Blogger must link to the blog from which he/she has received the award.

3. Every Prolific Blogger must link back to this post, which explains the origins and motivation for the award.

4. Every Prolific Blogger must visit this post and add his/her name in the Mr. Linky, so that we all can get to know the other winners. (Click HERE for that link.)

And the other 3 awards I was graced with was from Betty over at Cut and Dry and consists of the Honest Scrap, Beautiful Blogger and the Happy 101 Awards:

Thank you so much, my beautiful friend, Betty!  You are the best and I am honored to be your friend and receive these awards from you! :o)

These are the only rules that Betty says go with each one of these awards:

A.  Share 7 things about yourself that people don't already know:

1.  I am extremely ANAL when it comes to spelling and punctuation and proper formatting. (It might have something to do with being a legal secretary and doing it daily - you think? - LOL)

2.  I absolutely *heart* polka dots.  There is just something so cute and girly about them. :o)

3.  I sleep to a thunderstorm CD every.single.night

4.  I also sleep with earplugs every night due to my husband snoring so loud that it keeps me awake. HA!

5.  I've always wanted to be a stay at home mom but never had the opportunity.

6.  I completely believe in ghosts and spirits due to personal experiences in my lifetime.

7.  I HATE having a tv in our master bedroom but can't convince my husband to take it out. :o(

B.  Pass the award on to 3 to 10 other blogs.

Due to my lack of time this morning, but wanting to go ahead and get these lovely awards posted from two of my beautiful bloggy friends, I am passing this on to all of you - feel free to take it to your blog and post about it there.  If you do take it - please link back and also add your name to the link above as requested for the prolific award.

Again, thanks so much my beautiful friends for such lovely awards.  I am so honored to have received these as well as having you both as my lovely friends in the bloggy world.  :o)

Thanks for stopping by my friends and have a wonderful and blessed Monday!

Lots of love and kisses,
