Random Post of Sorts

Happy Tuesday my friends!  Hope you were lucky enough to have the day off yesterday, like I was.  I did a lot of painting in my living room but still wasn't able to get it all complete like I had hoped to after 2 days of going at it.  But it is looking much better than it did and the hubster put up a lot of crown molding, which makes it look even nicer.  I can't wait to get it all finished and share the pictures with you.  We are already loving the new look even though we still have a long way to go on it.  Today will be a random post of sorts - hope you don't mind! :o)

Here are a few pictures of our front and side yard after the 14" of snow we got last week. This was a few days after it had finally quit snowing - as you can see - we still had/have a LOT of snow and are expecting another 4-6 inches again tonight too.

On another note - here are a few pictures that I took from mine and husby's day out when we went to lunch and also to IKEA shopping.  Poor thing - he didn't feel well at all but was still a trooper and took me to a wonderful lunch and shopping afterwards.  However, we didn't have any luck at IKEA as they were in the middle of more remodeling which totally messed up our plans.  Oh well.... anyway - on

This was our wonderful chicken, rice and fries - OMG it was AWESOME and only $6.50 per plate! It was so much food we couldn't even eat it all.

On our way to IKEA for what we were hoping was some great shopping - for some reason I look mad in this picture, but I wasn't - I was worried about the neighborhood we were going through at the time and was concentrating really hard - HA!

Simply Love Swap Valentine's gifts

I hope you've all had a wonderful day and were able to enjoy the day off today, like I was.  As promised I wanted to share with you my wonderful Valentine's gifts from Jennifer at Miller Madness.  She and I were both each other's partners in the Simply Love Swap hosted by Katie at Loves of Life and this is what she sent to me and I loved everything - thanks so much, Jennifer! :o)  There was also a package of dark chocolate heart shaped candy too that didn't quite make it into the picture - hee hee hee  I also forgot to take a picture of the candle by itself - but it's Pomegrante scent and smells WONDERFUL!

Happy Monday!

Hello my wonderful friends! I hope that all of you had a wonderful and Happy Valentine's Day yesterday.  We didn't do much this weekend because my poor husband has what I had last week - the severe sinus infection and he's been down and out for most of the weekend.  We did manage to go to lunch one day and did some shopping at IKEA and I took a few pictures that I will show you later - but that's about the extent of things.  Instead, this is what I've looked like all weekend long:

Yep, I've been painting my living room all day yesterday and am on my way to finish it up today. It is looking SO MUCH BETTER and we are loving it!  I will post pictures of that later as well.  I just wanted to stop in and say good morning and hope that you are all getting to enjoy a beautiful day off today, like I am.  Unfortunately, we have more snow moving in tonight - UGH! I am SO ready for Spring that I can't stand it! I have Spring fever so bad right now.  HA!

Slowly Getting Back to Normal

Hello my wonderful friends!  I hope you are all doing well.  I have missed you guys so much!  I have been so sick that I almost ended up in the emergency room on Saturday morning due to vomiting severely and running fever, etc.   However, I was able to wait until later in the morning and make it to the doctor's office.  I have a severe sinus infection with fluid on my ears and have been very very miserable to say the least.  I've not been able to breathe, had tons of coughing that had my chest burning and hurting due to all of the congestion in my lungs and it took a full 48 hours for my medicine to finally kick in.  I've just now started to feel better but decided to stay home one more full day to get even more rest before going back to work in order to avoid a relapse. 

On another note - I was SO happy and excited for the New Orleans Saints last night and their HUGE Superbowl win.  I was happy they made it to the Superbowl as that was the first time ever and was really hoping for a huge win and they pulled it off.  It was a great and exciting game with a lot of touch and go for sure.  Being from the South and loving the SEC, they did us VERY proud to say the least!  I couldn't be happier if it were the Arkansas Razorbacks in the championship - though I know that wouldn't happen since they are a college team and not a pro team.  But, nonetheless, we are extremely proud!  And I know that my friend, Summer over at B is for Brown is over the moon ecstatic since she is a true blooded Saint even though she has been transplanted to New York.  "WHO DAT"!

And some more exciting news - I was part of Summer's I Choo Choo Choose You Valentine's Swap and received my package on Saturday from the wonderful and lovely Alicia at It Ain't Easy Being Cheesy.  If you haven't been to her blog yet, please go check her out.  She is such a wonderfully funny person who makes me laugh every day when I read her blog.  Here is my bag of goodies that she sent me:  2 boxes of Chocolate covered raisins (my son ate one box already - he stole them when I wasn't looking - the little turd - HA), some really cute and neat wine tags for wine glasses, 2 adorable wine bottle toppers, a cute sweetie notepad, 2 tootise roll pops and an adorable and sweet card:

So, thank you, Alicia - I loved my gift and you are the BESTEST Valentine evah!  P.S  And I still love ya even if you are a COLTS fan! Sorry that your team lost last night, but SO happy that the Saints won! hee hee hee

Well, I guess that's all for today.  I will be getting a lot of rest today and taking my medicine like a good girl so that I can make it back to work tomorrow, and will be catching up on all of your blogs.  Thanks again for sticking with me and for all of your sweet comments last week and get well wishes.  You guys are the BEST and I love each and every one of you!   Have a great Monday!
