Happy Friday, Ya'll!

WHEW! We finally made it! And all I can say is OMG I am SO glad this week is over - it's been such a long ass week! I am really missing our 4 day work weeks - you know, the ones where Mondays are the holiday and we have a 3 day weekend before a short 4 day week?  What happened to those days? I want them back now - I am SO.TIRED and ready to just relax for the weekend.  Our cold temperatures have returned - it is only supposed to be 26 degrees for the high today.  We were supposed to get snow tonight but guess what - SURPRISE - we got it yesterday morning during the rush hour commute - imagine that! I want the weatherman's job - one where I can predict what's going to happen but can always be wrong and not get fired for it - HA!  I am SO ready for Spring!  What about you?

I've not felt real well this week - I don't know if I have a headcold coming on or what it is but my throat has been sore and I've been tired and run down but have really pushed through to use my treadmill each night no matter how bad I felt. I wasn't able to use my treadmill last night due to my daughter having a dr. appt. and us not getting home before 9 p.m.   However, I lost another 2 tenths of a pound yesterday - WOO HOO.  I know it's not much, but hey - I will take whatever I can get - especially if those numbers keep creeping downward! :o)

Sooooo.. what's on your weekend agendas? Anything new or exciting happening your way?  We don't have anything planned this weekend really, except maybe a trip to Costco tomorrow. (I know, real exciting stuff, huh?! HA!)  I expect we will be hanging out at home and staying inside where it's warm due to the arctic cold front we have moving through that started last night.  Our highs this weekend aren't supposed to get out of the 20's - UGH!

Well, I hope that all of you wonderful lovies have a very blessed weekend and can't wait to catch up on all of your blogs and see what your plans are.

And since I can't finish out my post without some sort of picture - here is your Happy TGIF photo of the week:
Lots of love and hugs,

Things I am Loving Right Now

Happy Thursday everyone!  Hope you are having a wonderful week so far.  We are on the downhill side finally and it will be the weekend before we know it! YAY!  Since I don't really have a specific post in mind for today, I decided to show you some things I am dying to have:

{via}

and {via}

Those are a few of my favorite things and items on my wish list - but I, being the frugal person that I am  REFUSE to spend $500-$1,000 on handbags, jewelry, watches or coats just because of the namebrand tag on the item.  I do not care what the namebrand is, as long as I like it - that's all that matters to me - the only problem though, is that these Coach items and Brooks Brothers items are some of my favorite things E.V.A.H.  For some reason, I have become a handbag and coat FANATIC (I blame it on my daughter - HA!)  She loves handbags and shoes and I love handbags and coats! :o)

So what are some of your favorite things?

Here's wishing all of you a wonderful and glorious day! It is getting COLD here again - we are not expected to get out of the mid-20's beginning tomorrow.  I think our low last night (or maybe it's tonight) is supposed to be around 16 degrees or so - UGH!

P.S.  Another # down yesterday - now at 132 - YAY!!!!  And over 3.0 miles on the treadmill last night.  I am trying to up it by 1/2 mile every night.  However, tonight and tomorrow night I have obligations after work so I'm not sure I will get to my treadmill or not - but I can make up for it over the weekend, so I guess that will be okay.  Oh yeah - one more question.... do any of you have the Wii Fit or the Wii Fit Plus?  Pros, cons?  Which is better?  I am wanting to get one of those - but only if they are really worth the money - I want to do something besides the treadmill - at least on the weekends.

Have a great day my lovies!

Lots of love and kisses,
Trac- :o)

Valentine Wreaths, Wine and Football

Happy Monday my dear friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and were able to relax or get a lot done, whichever you wanted to accomplish.  We had a wonderful and restful weekend and it was just so nice!  I told you yesterday that I enjoyed Saturday night with my girlfriend, Kathy, and each of our daughters.  I also told you that I had totally forgotten to take my camera so that I could have pictures of our "girls night", but I do have a couple of pictures to show you and that is of my wreath and my daughter's wreath.   Everyone's wreath but mine turned out very good.  I spent about 2.5 hours on the wreath and still didn't get it finished the way I wanted to.  The beads wouldn't line up right and the hot glue was so hot (I had a HIGH temperature hot glue gun and didn't know it) that it kept burning my fingers which also slowed me down and it left me a blister on my middle right finger - OUCH! And the stupid beads ALSO kept falling off no matter how hard I tried to keep them glued on - which is the reason I have tons of glue on my wreath. *sigh* But, it's my first time making a wreath e.v.a.h so please cut me a little slack um kay? Thanks! :o)

My daughter's beautiful wreath (it took her about 15 minutes to make)

And then, my UGLY wreath - wah wah wah

There you have it - but the most important thing of the night was the great time spent with my daughter and my good friend - Kathy and her daughter.  We relaxed, made wreaths, hung out and drank a couple of nice glasses of wine to go along with it.  This was one of the bottles we drank last night (we went through 3 bottles between 3 people - (her husband hung out with us sometimes too) but I only had 2 glasses total. :o)

It's called Vampire Wine

and they come with this ADORABLE wine cork (it's Red) and since I collect wine corks - it's a perfect addition to my collection. :o)

Anyway, the Chardonnay was pretty good - not a favorite - but a nice one to try.  And if you get a chance to check out the Hair Bows & Guitar Picks website - please do - she reviews bottles of wine EVERY Wednesday - and gives it to you straight.  One of my Christmas presents from one of my bosses this year, was $100 American Express giftcard - which I spent the entire amount on bottles of wine from her suggestions and have really enjoyed a lot of them already. (Noo... I promise, I am NOT a sot - just a wine snob - LOL)  So, if you enjoy wine as much as I do - and you are always on the lookout for a new one to try - please go visit her website - she'll be one of your new daily reads. :o)

While relaxing yesterday, we also watched the Jets vs. Colts game VERY closely.  If the Jets would have won then my hubster would have had to drive to New York at Midnight to pick up tshirts for his airports.  Well, I am happy to say that the Jets lost thankfully so that my husband got to stay home last night and relax with the family and will be under a lot less stress for the next few weeks now since they are no longer Superbowl bound.  YAY!!!  Though, I must say it was a very good game which started out quite close in the first half.  I hope that your teams won yesterday and if you are a Jets fan - I'm sorry - I kind of had a good reason for hoping that they wouldn't win. :o)  Afterwards we watched the Saints vs. Vikings game and I was SO HAPPY that my Southern friends, the Saints, won that game and are now in the Superbowl for the first time E.V.A.H!  I know Brett Farve has only been to the Superbowl once in his career, but... he's been once - the Saints have never been and today was just the day that the Underdogs won in both Play-off games and we were thrilled!  But when it comes to the Saints vs. the Colts in Superbowl - you can bet your sweet booties that I will be rootin for the Saints for sure! :o)

Well, that was how our weekend went - how about yours?  What did you do? Can't wait to hear all about it! P.S.  Tomorrow is Supah's Post-it Note Tuesday - be on the lookout for my weight stats to see how I've been doing the last few weeks! :o)

Have a wonderful and blessed day lovies!

Lots of love and kisses,
Trac- :o)

Happy 101 Award

Happy Sunday my friends! I hope you are enjoying the rest of your weekend and having a very relaxing day.  We've had a very nice weekend and haven't done a lot really, which was even better. :o)  Friday night we just hung out, ate dinner and watched tv.  My daughter went to babysit and my son just hung out in his bedroom playing music all night.  On Saturday, we had a lot of errands to run and things to do.  On Saturday morning, I met my girlfriend, Kathy, at Michaels and we bought some fun things to make Valentine's wreaths with.  Then we got together with our girls about 7 p.m. that night and made the wreaths.  It was so nice just hanging out and having a glass or two of wine and making crafts.  I totally forgot to take any pictures of that night, but I did take pictures of the wreaths me and my daughter made and I will post those pictures in tomorrow's post.  Her wreath turned out so much better than mine and I was so glad she had a great time hanging with mom.

Now.... on to today's award post.  Megan over at In this Wonderful Life awarded everyone who wanted to play along, this award, so I decided to snag it (also it gave me a great post for today too - LOL).  Be sure to check out Megan's blog if you've never been there before - she is an absoloute doll who is going to be a new mommy in a few months! :o)

Here are the rules:

List 10 things that make you happy.  Tag 10 bloggers that brighten your day.  Make sure to link back to the person that awarded you!

1. First and foremost - God - About 12 years ago I converted from the Baptist Faith to the Catholic faith as my husband's entire family are cradle born Catholics and we are raising our children in the Catholic faith.  In our eyes, God is the one who brought our family together 13 years ago and has blessed us in so many ways that without him we would never be where we are today.

2. My husband - He is such a wonderful loving and patient husband who puts up with all of my
flaws and loves me despite it all.  He is also a wonderful father to our two teenage children and will be a terrific grandfather many years from now.  He has always put our family first above and beyond anything else and tries so hard to always do right by me and the kids.  He is a great teacher to his children and a wonderful boss to his employees who adore him and his work ethic.

3. My two beautiful children - Even though they are teenagers now (16 and almost 17) and drive us absolutely NUTS sometimes (as all kids will) they are the best thing that has ever happened to me.  My son was not made in my tummy but in my heart and he stole it from day one when he was 3 years of age when his dad and I got together.  I could never imagine not having my two kids in my life.  They really round me out and make me a better person.

4. Family - I really really miss all of my family as they live 21 hours away from us and we do good to get to see them once or twice a year due to having been relocated almost 6 years ago.

5. My friends - they are the best friends a girl could ever ask for - they also live 21 hours away from me and I miss them something terrible.  However, I have made a great new friend here in NJ that lives in my neighborhood and she and I have so much in common that we could really be sisters and we have a wonderful time together and I just adore her. :o)

6.  My Job in NYC - I love my job in NYC but hate the commute back and forth.  However, I feel very blessed to have a job in these hard economic times as I know a lot of others are without jobs and really struggling.  I also have 4 wonderful bosses who are really awesome to me and treat me fantastic and I just couldn't ask for any better place to work.

7.  Traveling - I LOVE LOVE LOVE to travel anywhere and anytime.  I only hope that when we retire we are able to travel a lot as that is something my husband and I both really enjoy and enjoy doing together alone and with our kids.  We take 2-3 vacations a year and one of those is always alone without our kids.

8.  Cooking - I really enjoy cooking A.LOT.  Especially during the holidays!

9.  House decorating - this is one of my most favorite things ever and I always feel so good when I have finished painting a room and the formation it takes over and how much nicer it makes our house look.

10.  Sports - I am one of those girls who happen to LOVE and truly enjoy sports of all kinds.  Chicago Cubs baseball and Arkansas Razorback football are my two most favorites.  My husband felt very lucky when he got me because he got a girl with such a love of sports. :o)

Well, that's more about me - some things you knew and others you may not have.  Now, like Megan, I am tagging everyone of you that may want to play along! Please let me know when and if you post it so that I can come read and learn more about you too!
Have a wonderful and blessed rest of the day!

*Updated to add that I received this award also from Mae Rae at In and Out of the Bubble on January 16th and learned about it yesterday* - Thank you, Mae Rae - it wasn't all your fault - I wasn't able to read anyone's blogs for a few days during that time or I would have caught this back then too* LOL

Lots of love and kisses,
Trac- :o)

Happy Friday!

Happy TGIF my friends! What are your plans for the weekend? Anything fun and exciting?  We don't have A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G planned at all, which is SO NICE for a change! I hope that my hubster will let me sleep in past 7 a.m. tomorrow morning - that would be great! Today is one of those days where I literally have nothing to talk about or say (weird, I know-LOL) - but I have sat here in front of the computer for the last 10 minutes trying to think of  a post and can't come up with anything at all - I guess it's just because I'm so tired today or something as it is very rare that I have nothing to say E.V.A.H. - just ask those who know me in real life! Hee hee hee

Soooo.... instead, I guess I will leave you with a few pictures and say that I hope you all have a wonderful and glorious weekend and get everything done that you'd like to accomplish, even if it is just relaxing and doing nothing like me! HA!

I promise to catch back up on your blogs again over the weekend.  Work has been kicking my butt this week and it's been after 8:30 that I've been getting home in the evenings and by that point, after typing documents on the computer all day, I am too exhausted to get on my laptop and just fall into bed and crash.  I hope you all know that I love you and am not neglecting you intentionally.  Thank you for all of your wonderful comments and friendship - they are the highlights of my day!

Much love my peeps!

Big hugs,
Trac~ :o)

Thank you very much Thursday

I have decided to play along today with Kmama and her "Thank you very much" Thursday.  If you don't know what that is it means It's Free Therapy Day which means it's Thank You Very Much day. The way it works is that you take out all your frustrations on people/things that peeved you off during the week and thank them in a very sarcastic way, for being who or what they are/doing what they did.

1.  To my son whom I truly enjoy our morning coffee drinking ritual - thank you very much for drinking the rest of the coffee yesterday morning and not telling me.  Lucky for you I found the pot empty at 9:30 last night and was able to prepare more for today.

2.  To my hubby whom I adore thank you very much for deciding to pick a fight with me at 10:00 p.m. last night when you already knew I was exhausted and trying to go to sleep.

3.  To the 2 girls in my office who have mentioned to me the last 2 days in a row of how "tired" I look - thank you very much.

4.  To my friend at the office who rides my bus and whom I love - thank you very much for letting me walk with you to the office in the mornings - since it is a good 20 minute walk, it sure helps to get all of my exercise in as often as possible.

5.  To the bus driver - thank you very much for always being on time in the mornings - it sure helps me keep my tushie nice and warm when I don't have to stand and wait outside for you to show up.

6.  To Mother Nature who was giving us nice warm weather - thank you very much - but now you suck because you've brought the cold temperatures back and are predicting a snow/mix on Friday morning right during my commute.

7.  To all of our service men and women - thank you very much  for all that you and your families sacrifice for our well being and safety.

8.  To Mother Nature (again) thank you very much for being such an evil Beyotch and practically destroying Haiti not once, but twice.

9.  To my beautiful daughter, thank you very much for finally getting it all together and coming around to being the person you used to be.

10.  To all of my wonderful bloggy friends - thank you very much for being such wonderful friends and hanging around to hear me spew about all sorts of nonsense this long.

There you have it!  Be sure to check out Kmama's website and link up to play along.  Happy Thursday my peeps!  Only one more day til the weekend - YAY!

Not So Wordless Wednesday

New Airport Check-In Attire:

You still have to take off your shoes though! And maybe she should have also added in tassels, thongs and flip flops - that would save even more time while going through security! HA!   Happy Hump Day my friends! :o)

Love and kisses,

It's Time For Stick It Up Tuesday

Happy Tuesday, my peeps!  How was your weekend?  Were you lucky enough to be one of those (like myself) who were able to enjoy an extra day off work yesterday?  It was so nice and peaceful at my house - even though my two teenagers were home - we had already completely cleaned the house top to bottom, finally took our Christmas tree down (yes, late I know) and got everything nice and organized again all on Sunday, so we were able to lay around and relax all day with nothing to do and nowhere to be - it felt SO GOOD! :o)

So you know what today is, right? No? What?! You've not heard of Supah Mommy and her infamous post-it note Tuesday segment?  Well.... then you'd better RUN and check her out and come play along! Go here for all of the instructions on how to create your own post-it notes as well as linking to her blog so others can read your notes as well. :o)

Again, come play along and link up to Supah's page so we can all read your wonderful post-its too.

Have a great Tuesday my wonderful friends!

Love and kisses,

So you know what today is, right? No? What?! You've not heard of Supah Mommy and her infamous post-it note Tuesday segment?  Well.... then you'd better RUN and check her out and come play along! Go here for all of the instructions on how to create your own post-it notes as well as linking to her blog so others can read your notes as well. :o)

Again, come play along and link up to Supah's page so we can all read your wonderful post-its too.

Have a great Tuesday my wonderful friends!

Love and kisses,
Trac- :o)
