We Are OUT of Here!

HAPPY NEW YEAR my sweet sweet friends!  We have decided to take off and run away for a few days - and I will miss all of you while I'm gone.  Here's a sneak peak to where we're headed:

First Stop: LL Bean in Freeport Maine for New Year's Eve Fireworks and hot cocoa

Next Stop:  Mt. Snow in Vermont for a day of Skiing

Last and Final Stop:  Yankee Candle Factory in Deerfield, MA

So, that's how we are going to spend the next 5 days on a quick vacation to ring in the New Year - what are your big plans for the last hurrah as you prepare to ring in the new decade?  I will probably be away from the bloggy world for these few days while we are gone unless I can get access to the internet in the mountains.  However, when I return, I will have a lot of pictures to show you of how we rung in the New Year and I can't wait to see how you spent your weekend as well.

Here's wishing all of you, my wonderful friends, a very Happy New Year.  I hope you and your families have a very safe weekend and look forward to catching up with you when I return.

Lots of love and kisses,
Trac-:o)

Welcome to another edition of Supah's Post-It-Note Tuesday - you know what that means so come play along! And while you're at it - be sure to check out Supah's blog and the other fine ladies and gents who are playing this game every week and add your name to the pile so we can check out your blog too! :o)

Well, I had a few more but now I can't remember them, so I guess I will end my post-its here tday.  I really should write these down as they come to me considering that I have NO short term memory left whatsoever now. *sigh*

I hope all of you have a very wonderful and glorious day today!  Wherever you are - try to stay warm - we are in for another 2 rounds of snow this week and next according to the weather man - UGH!

Weekend Recap

Morning my friends!  How was your holiday weekend?  Ours was great and I've already shared our pictures with you, so I won't bore you with them again.  I can't WAIT to catch up on all of your blogs and see how you celebrated Jesus' birth with your friends and family.

On Saturday, me and the hubster and daughter got up and went to Costco to get a few groceries, ran to Wal-Mart and the mall to take a few things back (surprisingly, the mall was not that busy) and then came home, cooked dinner and relaxed watching movies and tried to plan our upcoming getaway for a few days - though we never did decide by this point.

Yesterday was a very busy day for us - I actually got to sleep in until 10:00 a.m. - WOW - I NEVER do that - I must have been very, very tired!  The hubster had to go to work yesterday, so I got up and began my day - here is what my day consisted of:

1.  Prepared a turkey and put it in the oven to cook.
2.  Washed 5 loads of clothes.
3.  Cleaned out the Large Pantry.
4.  Cleaned out kitchen pantry.
5.  Packed away all Christmas things except for my Christmas tree (I love my tree and want it to look at it as long as possible)
6.  Cleaned out kitchen cabinets and put stuff in boxes for donation.
7.  Prepared dinner - turkey, gravy, corn, rolls.
8.  Ate dinner, finished laundry, cleaned kitchen.
9.  Looked online to try and decide on a final place to go on vacation on New Year's Day for 5 days. (still didn't finalize as we were planning to go North and we watched the weather and we have a straight week of snow moving in on us here and all of the Northeast)
10.  Took shower and dried hair.
11.  Took daughter's boyfriend home to his mom's to grab his stuff so I could drop him off at his dads.
12.  Made dinner plans with daughter's boyfriends parents for New Year's Eve.
13.  Took boyfriend home and spoke to his dad about him going with us snow skiing this weekend.
14.  Got home, finished up last minute stuff, prepared clothes and purse for work today.
15.  Laid down in bed beside the hubster to watch tv - and to think, all of this was BEFORE 8 p.m.

Whew, talk about a busy, busy day - I was really tired last night and was actually in the bed by 8:45 to sleep!  Even though I got almost 9 hours of sleep last night, it was very hard to get out of bed at 5:15 this morning to get ready for work after sleeping to 7 a.m. and later most days while on Christmas break.

So.... that's my weekend recap - how about yours?  What all did you do this weekend after Christmas?

Well, I guess I'd better get my rump off here and get ready for work - I hope all of you have a wonderful day today and for those of you lucky enough to have this week off too, I hope you are still being able to spend it with your families and enjoy your time together - or maybe you are lucky enough to get to enjoy some peace and quiet for a change instead after the hustle and bustle of the holidays.  Whatever you do, I wish you a very wonderful and peaceful day today. And since I do not like to have a post with no pictures, I thought I would leave you with a picture of what we are in for this week - again - UGH!

Christmas Day 2009

Merry Christmas my wonderful blogarino friends! Hope you are having a wonderful day today with your friends and family.  Today has been an unconventional Christmas day for our family.  My son went back "home" for the week to visit his mother and her side of the family so we had our family Christmas together this past Sunday.  My hubster is working today and so my daughter and I are just hanging out at home relaxing, laying around, blogging and watching Christmas movies and eating lots of yummy food! :o)

Here are pictures from our family Christmas last weekend.  I do hope all of you had a wonderful and glorious Christmas with your friends and family.  Here is wishing all of you a wonderful rest of 2009 and hope that as you ring in the year 2010 it finds you well and brings you health, peace, love and joy.

My husband and his Peanut Doll - he LOVES Jeff Dunham and Peanut so I had to get it for him this year - as you can see he was SO excited! HA!

This is my loot from Santa: (I'm weird that way - I LOVE kitchen stuff for gifts) HA!

Well that's all  for today - I can't wait to see what Santa brought you and your family.  Have a great rest of the weekend.

Love and kisses,
Trac- ;o)

Christmas Eve 2009

Hi Friends! I hope you are all having a very Merry Christmas so far. I just wanted to post on here real quick some pictures from Christmas Eve last night. We had some friends and their kids over to hang out and play games and drink some wine and eat pizza - it was a wonderfully relaxing night to say the least!

Here are a few pictures from the evening - I hope you enjoy them and can see how much fun we had! :o)

We started out with some GREAT pizza from Franks - it was YUMMY!  And the reason for the cut out square in the box is because it was a coupon and if you collect 10 coupons you get a free pizza (or pie for you Northern blogger friends) :o)

Then we had some very delicious wine to "relax" with - notice the blue bottle's title and isn't my little snowman ornament CUTE!

This is the CUTE ornament that my daughter's boyfriend bought me (it matches the color of my tree ornaments perfectly) and he also gave me some chocolates - the good kind - Lindts!

Then it was GAME Time - if you've not played this game before - you must run out and get it - it is SO.MUCH.FUN!

Me and Kathy

GAME ON!

Take 1 - it was too funny not to post

Bob and Kathy - they are such nice people and so much fun to be around - I love these two!

Game board with the pieces as we were beginning the game

Take 2

I think this is such a cute picture of the two of them

Daughter and her boyfriend F

Me and the hubster

Kathy's daughter A

Concentration

Sorry they are all out of order - I had them all in order but for some reason Blogger decided to mix them all up - I guess it makes it more interesting and I am just too lazy today to change them all around. LOL

Merry Christmas my sweet friends!

Love and kisses,
Trac- :o)
