Happy Monday to all of you wonderful lovies. I hope you had a wonderful and gloriously productive weekend. What did you do? Did you finish up your Christmas shopping? Maybe attend some Christmas parties by chance? Finish decorating, putting up your tree, or even wrapping gifts perhaps? Or maybe you were like me and decided to finish up all of your baking instead? Well that's exactly what I did - and the 2 cookie recipes that I gave you in yesterday's post were only a couple of items on my baking list. Here are the other 2 items I made - but of course, they were a lot easier and took a lot less time to make than the cookies did:
Chocolate and White Chocolate Covered Pretzels:
and Yummy Peanut Clusters:
The funny thing about the peanut clusters is that I never realized my son had never had them before - he came into the kitchen and asked me what the chocolate covered clusters of peanuts were - well duh - peanut clusters of course, son! LOL He thought that was so funny! :o)
Anyway, what is on your agenda for the day today? Maybe some of you are lucky enough to have the week off? Our office is officially closed on Christmas Eve this year - amazing - that has NEVER happened before. We were lucky enough to get our Christmas bonus this year - though a lot less than last year - I am thankful nonetheless.
My office also does a TON of charity work and like last year, we collected toys for the kids for our annual holiday drive. Today at lunch we are having a pizza party and wrapping said gifts and then they will be drawing names to attend the drive to the hospital to give those gifts to the children who will be stuck in the hospital for Christmas this year. I do hope I am one of the names drawn, but the way my luck runs sometimes, it probably won't happen. *sigh* But, I am hopeful so please keep your fingers crossed for me, um k?! :o)
Well, as usual this time of morning, I am running extremely late and must get my butt off this puter to get ready for work - only 3 days this week - YAY!
Hope you all have a wonderful and glorious day today.
Lots of love and kisses and holiday wishes,
Trac~ ;o)
Your baking is making me hungry- sounds like a fun weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteAll that wonderful baking, the peanut cluster (my favourite) looks so moreish. You must have had a busy week-end. Totally unheard of here in the UK (as far as I know), I'm going to take it upon myself to introduce all my family/friends to chocolate covered pretzels.
ReplyDeleteThree day work week for me too!! LOVE it! I was actually really lazy this weekend, I just enjoyed my hubs, some friends, football and looking at my tree!
ReplyDeleteI so wish santa would bring me some of those cookies...yummers
ReplyDeletehave a great day my friend
I hope your name gets picked too. What a great office to work with...to have so many people that names have to be drawn.
ReplyDeleteI baked a few cookies today too. I am having a kids party at my house tomorrow - 8 moms and 12 little ones!!! :)
