Blue Man Group and Another CSN Stores Review

Happy Monday my peeps!  How was your weekend?  Ours was great and we had a WONDERFUL time yesterday in the City seeing the Blue Man Group and celebrating my husband's birthday.  Here are a few pictures from our day and the celebration:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

You can't tell it by these pictures, but my poor husband was beginning to feel miserable again and sick like had been last week.  I told him we could try and re-schedule the show and the trip but he really, really wanted me and the kids to see the show so he powered through the day.  Talk about a trooper! :)  These pictures are all from the slideshow they were playing outside the theatre before we went in.  Unfortunately, they wouldn't allow any type of camera inside the show and the bad thing is that one of the blue men came to where we were sitting and interacted with my husband and I wasn't able to capture it on video or film at all - *sigh*  Oh well - it was cool at least and we all had a great time so I guess that's most important, right?! :)


On another note, I was recently asked if I would like to do another review for the CSN Stores and of course, I jumped right on that and immediately said Yes!  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the CSN Stores and shop there whenever I get the chance.  They have a lot of items to choose from in their over 200 online stores where you can find everything from stylish Modern dining room furniture to cute cookware to chic lighting pieces! I am actually thinking of reviewing one of these:

 

And the reason is because when we got home from running errands on Saturday night, our little powder puff, Sophie, had literally CHEWED thru the area where her zippers closed on her kennel which looks like this:

and she was running wild in our garage upon our return.  Luckily, there wasn't anything in there she could really get into that was poisionous or that she could get hurt on, but, it worried me enough that I decided I'd better get something more sturdy (and steel) that she couldn't chew thru! LOL

Finally Friday & CSN $45 Giveaway!

Woot Woot!  Thank goodness is all I can say! I am so glad to see Friday finally roll around - though I don't really know why because I am going to be SO busy that I am hardly going to be able to take time to breathe.  However, that's the way I like it, in reality - ha!  I am going to be working on finishing up and mailing out my Christmas cards (hopefully, tomorrow) and then finishing up putting gifts together and getting those wrapped among other things.  I promise to take pictures of my decorations soon - they really turned out pretty cute this year - I even impressed myself! LOL

So what's on your weekend agenda?  Anything exciting and special?  I can't wait to hear all about it and catch up on your blogs.  Needless to say, I am so exhausted because it's been one of those very very busy weeks and things are only going to get busier over the next few weeks. Again, hard to believe we are already in December with Christmas coming up so soon.

On another note, I was recently given the opportunity to read and review a wonderful new book and I just got it in the mail yesterday.  Well, it was so good and most of it was so funny that I've about completed it in less than 2 hours!  These lovely people who sent me the book to review, also sent me an extra copy for one of you as well.  So... be sure and keep an eye out for that book review and giveaway next week!  Trust me, you will love it! :)

Well, it's that time again so I must finish getting ready for work.  I have to leave in about 40 minutes and as usual, I've done nothing but get my shower and cup of coffee! HA!

CSN Stores Review - Sheet Set

Happy Tuesday guys and dolls.  How was your Monday?  Mine was long but uneventful thankfully.  I managed to get to bed by 9:30 and get some rest and luckily, my husband was able to rest last night as well.  I hope he is on the uphill side of this stuff because it looks like my daughter is now coming down with whatever he has. *sigh* Oh well... it's that time of year, right?!  I am just trying to make sure that my son nor I get sick - I don't want it going through the house, so to speak.

Anywho, a couple of weeks back, I was contacted by a representative of the CSN Stores and asked to do another review for one of their products.  Well, you know me - I gladly jumped on that!  I love the CSN Stores.  I chose to review their Wildon Home Sateen Solid Combed Cotton 600 Thread Count Sheet Set in Grass Green and must say, I LOVE these sheets!  The color is also so much prettier IRL.

Ever since my husband and I were married (13 years ago now), his mother got me hooked on high thread count sateen sheets and that's all we have on our bed.  I love the feel of sateen sheets and the fact that the more you wash them, the softer they become.  Anyway, these proved to be no different.  The only downfall with these sheets is that no matter how quickly you take them out of the dryer they are completely wrinkled - which I hate.  However, I personally don't have time to iron my sheets, so on the bed they go.  The good thing about them, despite the wrinkles, is that once they are on the bed, you can't feel the wrinkles and they are still very comfy.  I've had to wash these sheets about 5 times over the last week due to my husband sweating through them several times in a day with being sick and they are holding up great!

The sheets were reasonably priced and even more so, much less than what I have paid for sheets in the past for this high thread count.  I was given a $45 gift certificate to use towards anything at the CSN Stores and since they were only $55 total for any size set (which is a bargain in itself), I only paid a total of $19 for the difference and shipping combined.  Personally, I think I got a great deal and these are sheets I will definitely be purchasing in the future.  So, if you're looking for a new sheet set, be sure to check out CSN Stores - they have a lot of great deals there and they are very reasonably priced and the quality is great!

Weekend Recap and CSN Stores

Happy Monday my peeps!  How are you?  How was your weekend?  Did you go trick or treating with your kiddos or maybe to an adult only Halloween costume party perhaps? As you know, Friday was mine and Steven's 13 year anniversary and so we did a little furniture shopping and picked up a recliner we had ordered a month ago that finally came in.  Then we went to dinner and had a couple of drinks and appetizers and just relaxed.  When we got home my son played a song for us on his guitar and sang.  It was one of my favorite songs though he didn't do a very good job on the singing part (he's still trying to get his voice in tune) - the song to me was priceless and brought tears to my eyes. :)  The song was by Brad Paisley and called "Little Moments Like That".   On Saturday we watched our beloved Hogs play Vanderbilt and win and then on Sunday we worked on painting our office and redoing it from top to bottom.  Now we just have to get the new floor to put down and do some touch-ups and we'll be finished.  We plan to finish it up next weekend and then I will have some pictures to show you after that - it's already a HUGE difference and I can't wait until it's all finished.

On that note - last week I was approached by the CSN Stores to do another review for them and I couldn't be more excited! I love CSN stores and have found some great things there already. One of my favorite things (and one that we are desperatly in need of currently) are their barstools.  They have some really nice ones to choose from.   Maybe once we have completed our office, I will get some barstools, artwork or maybe a new rug to put in my "new" office.  What do you think?  What would you choose?  I could use some help and would love to hear your thoughts.
