Happy Friday darlins! We finally made it to the weekend - whoop whoop!!! I'm SO happy that it is finally here.  I hate that we live our lives always looking forward to the weekends, but hey, it is what it is, right?! :)  You know what today is and know the rules, so come play along with these beauties if you'd like.

1. The word, Friday. I mean, who doesn't get excited over that?

2. Jean Day at work. Um, can I get a heck yeah? I lurrrrvveee jean day at work. Besides Friday, it is my other favorite day! And the fact that the two happen to fall on the same day is even better! I feel like I'm part of Oprah's favorite things when it's jean day! Ha! 

3. Continuing to get sweet photos of my grandson like this every day on my phone. I mean, just look at that sweet face:

And this one really cracks me up. He looks like a little old man with a pot belly. LOL

4. Fresh manicures.  I got my nails done like this last night and LOVE them:

5. My new coffee mug for work. It was too cute to pass up at Walgreens yesterday and only $5.99!

Friday Favorites

HOLLAAA!!!!! We made it to Friday - WHOOP WHOOP!!! It's been a long rough stretch to have to work a full week after all of the short holiday weeks the past 2 months - *gasp* SAY WHAT??!! Anywho...I am SO thankful that it is FINALLY Friday that I really just can't stand it. I have always been a morning person, but, the older I get, the harder it seems to get my butt out of bed each day, including the weekends. I feel like this ALL of the time lately:

(1) Getting pictures and videos of this cutie on a daily basis. Last night my daughter sent me both of these. It's uncanny at how much like both of his parents he is - but this particular picture of him, looks more like my daughter to me than her husband, but he certainly has both of their traits. She couldn't have found two better pictures to look like her and her husband.

(2)  Coffee - need I say more?! It has been one of THOSE weeks and I've needed LOTS and LOTS of Coffee! Bottomless cup for one please!

(3)  This baby! OMG ya'll, I just never knew how quick and easy it would be to own one of these! It cuts down on the cook time SO much.  Literally, I have cooked a 3 lb. roast in it earlier this week in 30 minutes, as well as a beef stew in about 20 minutes and the meat is literally tender enough that I was able to cut it with a plastic knife and it was so so juicy and flavorful.  If you haven't jumped on the band wagon and bought you one of these, you must run to Amazon NOW and get yourself one - trust me, you will NOT be disappointed! It can also be used as a crockpot, etc. You will LOVE it - especially if you work full-time like me and cook each night.  It is a godsend for sure! I got the 7 in 1 and you can find them on Amazon. 

(4) Weekends! I'm all about the weekends and spending time with Mr. A.  This is what I feel like when leaving the office every Friday:

(5) And of course, last but not least today - WINE - did I mention how much I love Wine and how sad I am that I can't have it for the next 30 days?! Not really, I do love wine, but I don't drink during the week, but I do miss my glass or two on the weekends. But I can do anything for 30 days, right?! :)

Friday Faves/5 On Friday

Happy Happy Friday guys and dolls! I'm SO HAPPY that it's finally Friday - can I get an Amen?! This is the day I wish I were a teacher so I would have a solid 2 weeks of Christmas vacation to relax and enjoy the holiday season. But, since I'm not, I will live vicariously through those who are, so CHEERS! :) What are your weekend plans? Anything fun like a Christmas/Holiday Party or getting together with friends and family for an early Christmas? I can't wait for the weekend as I am finishing up my Christmas shopping finally. I am WAY later than normal and it's driving me crazy. I am getting up bright and early tomorrow morning and going to brave the malls and the other stores as soon as they are open.  Then on Sunday we are celebrating Christmas early here at home with our son and his girlfriend since we are leaving Christmas Eve and heading to Arkansas and Missouri to have Christmas there with our daughter and son-in-law and my mommy.  Anyway, today is Friday Faves/5 on Friday so come play along!  You can link up here, here, here and here. :)

1.  First and foremost, my absolute favorite this week is my "just because" gift that Mr. A. gave me last night as a surprise when I got home from work.  He knows me so well and he knows how much I love The Pioneer Woman and her dishes and stuff.  SO last night he brought me home these - aren't they purty? :)  They are measuring bowls and I am totally head over heels in love and can't wait to use them!

2.  These hidden pocket tunics from GroopDealz.  I ordered them in an Olive and Red and get to wear one to work today with my jeans and boots and I can't wait! It's a perfect cool day to wear it. :)

 

3.  I'm super excited because once I get home from last minute Christmas shopping Saturday afternoon, we are having a date night and Mr. A and I are going to see this at our local movie tavern which also happens to sell dinner and drinks while enjoying the movie - we LOVE it there!

Friday Favorites - Christmas in New York

Whoop Whoop, we made it to Friday little darlins!!!   This has been THE LONGEST WEEK EVER to me. Can you tell I'm ready for the weekend? LOL Anyway, today is the Friday Fave with these lovely ladies, so gather your favorties and join in!

(1) Rockefeller Center. It is absolutely breathtaking this time of year. It was always one of my most favorite spots to see at night time.

I loved these snowflakes - they blinked on and off to the Christmas music

Bringing in the Tree.  Trust me when I say - it is MUCH LARGER than it looks on tv. But it is so neat to watch them bring it in on the trailer and then start setting it all up.  It is a production in itself!

 Ice Rink.  Though I never did skate there during my 4 years of working next to it (thanks to my bad knees) - I always loved watching everyone else skate when I was on lunch or in the City at night:

 (2)  Ornaments around the City. I used to pass these every day when I walked to my office and just thought they were so neat:

You can see how tall these are just by looking at the people walking past them.  They were HUGE!

(3)  Radio City Music Hall.  It was definitely a show stopper and one to never miss.  I passed this every day as well and actually walked through the building (to warm up) on my way to the office in the mornings.

 

Miracle on 34th - I loved seeing this sign during the Holidays on the Macy's building.  And if you've never been there they had the neatest store.  Their escalator was made of wood which literally creaked as you rode up it.

 And of course, there is Cartier, which was also across from my office.  I never shopped there, however, thanks to their extremely HIGH prices - ACK!!!

(4)  Window Decorations. Ya'll, there is literally NOTHING like the windows the designers produce at Christmas time.  When I say people line up down the street and around the building, I am NOT joking and the line goes on for hours and hours:  

 

 

(5)  And of course, what is NYC without their famous FAO Schwarz Toy Store, am I right?! It was SO cool inside.  

 

 

And who can forget the "BIG" Piano? (Are ya'll old enough to remember this famous Tom Hanks movie? I LOVED it and the Piano really is "BIG" ya'll and you CAN actually walk on it and "play" it:

So... there you have it - my Friday Favorites this week. As you can tell, I was very fond of NYC at Christmas time and am dying to go back - though ONLY at Christmas because it truly is magical during this time of the year.  Tell me, have you ever been to NYC at Christmas?
