Thirsty Thursday - Cranberry Margarita

Happy Thursday sweetums!  We are officially OVER the hump of the week and sliding into Friday - whoop whoop!!!  Yesterday, I shared a few of my favorite things from Pinterest this week and one of them was this awesome looking Cranberry Margarita, so I thought I would share the actual recipe in case you were interested.  I am borrowing the photos and recipe from Ali over at Gimme Some Oven, so go check her out.  I mean, the pictures alone are enough to gush over, am I right?  :)  

EASY CRANBERRY MARGARITAS

Sweet and tart cranberry juice makes for extra festive margaritas!

PREP: 5 MINS TOTAL: 5 MINS - YIELD: ABOUT 3 CUPS

INGREDIENTS:

• 1 1/2 cups cranberry juice cocktail (*see note below for optional homemade cranberry juice)
• 3/4 cup fresh lime juice
• 3/4 cup tequila
• 1/2 cup orange-flavored liqueur, such as Cointreau or Triple Sec
• Ice cubes

DIRECTIONS:

Stir all ingredients together until blended.  Serve over ice in sugar - or salt-rimmed glasses, garnished with fresh cranberries and lime wedges if desired.

DIFFICULTY: EASY INGREDIENTS: COINTREAU, CRANBERRY JUICE, ICE, LIME JUICE, TEQUILA, TRIPLE SEC

Thirsty Thursday

Happy Thursday my friends! How are you?  How has your week been so far?  Great, I hope! Mine has been good, but very slow to say the least.  I am SO ready for the weekend that I can barely stand it! HA!  Anyway, I thought I would post a new Thirsty Thursday recipe today since it's been a while.  I hope you like it and if you do give it a try, be sure and let me know what you think, um kay?! :o)  I thought this one sounded really good and is a "summery" drink to end the summer with. 

Alaskan Suntan Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients:


1 oz Gin
1 oz Vodka
1 oz Rum
3 oz Orange Juice
3 oz Pineapple Juice
Sugar or fruit
 
Instructions:

Mix Orange, Pineapple juices, sugar or fresh fruit, (if desired ) over ice in a blender.  Blend about 10 sec.  Pour into a glass and stir in Gin, Vodka, and Rum.
