RANT Wednesday!

UGH! So I hate to start this post out in a rant today, BUT.... I am absolutely SO aggravated and mad over these women that I work with who freakin PEE ON THE SEAT!!!! SERIOUSLY???!! I mean, come on! My son and husband are a lot cleaner at home! I just can't imagine WHAT their houses look like if they are this disgusting here at the office.  We have 6 floors and there are only a handful on my floor - so it's pretty easy to figure out maybe WHO it is but still!

What I can't quite figure out is if they are squatting and that's how they pee on the seat, or if they.... heck, I just have NO idea!  On more than one occasion we have had to call maintenance to come clean the bathroom because of the poop and pee everywhere - it was DISGUSTING!

Anyway, sorry for the rant today but I am just so frustrated and disgusted that I can't stand it any longer.  Anyone have any ideas - maybe even a devious plan? (said with an evil laugh) hee hee hee

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day today! Hard to believe tomorrow is already October 1st.

Big hugs!

Weekend Recap (Warning - Photo Overload) :o)

Happy Monday, everyone! Hope you are all doing well and had a wonderful and blessed weekend. Ours was really nice and mostly relaxing. The hubster and I started off on Friday evening at a black tie dinner where we were representing his company for a charity event for the Children's Hospital. We had a wonderful time! The food, drinks and company were great
and to top it all off - we won TWO FREE ROUNDTRIP tickets on this airline:
Jet Blue

We have been attending these gigs for the last 2 years - and have never won anything - we were SO EXCITED to have finally won and especially since our prize consisted of FREE AIRLINE TICKETS - WOO HOO!!!

On Saturday, I had the dreaded dental appointment, but it went well enough - not as bad as I expected, so that was a good sign.  Then afterwards, I came home, got my little chickadee girl and she and I went mommy/daughter Yard Saling - and came home with a great stash of stuff that we got CHEAP!  They had a HUGE neighborhood yard sale but it only consisted of 50 houses - which would have been nice - except the houses that participated were scattered out and about between about 10 different neighborhoods which was a REAL PIA!  Oh well... we made out like bandits so who are we to complain, right?! :O)

Afterwards, we returned home and picked up the boys and headed to find a Goodwill store to take our donations to.  Once we found that, we stopped by this really neat park along the way, and I snapped a few pictures of the beautiful scenery and of the kiddos:

Then Saturday night after a wonderful family afternoon, we went to 5:00 Mass and then came home to watch the Razorback game - which totally SUCKED! ARGH!  I mean, come on, WHY didn't our defense show up for the game?  Probably because we don't HAVE a defense - it's plain ridiculous!  UGH!  Anyway, they made it a close game for the first half at least but after that, Alabama completely stomped our butts!  *sigh*  Oh well... maybe this week will be better.

On Sunday we spent time around the house, ran some errands, and I did a lot of cooking to prepare for mine and the hubster's diet that began today.  He and I have tried several different diets over the years - including the last one - "The Biggest Loser" - but, we have found that the Atkins Low Carb diet works best for us and so we are returning to that.  If you wish to embark on this journey with me, feel free to join in - I would love to have you.  I will be keeping a blog separate from this one only to help keep myself more accountable.

Sooo... that was our weekend - how was yours?  Did you do anything fun and exciting?  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! Let me know you were here so I can hop over to visit your blog too!

Big hugs!

Happy Friday and a Season Premiere

Happy Friday everyone!  Hope you are all having a wonderful day and have an even better weekend. :o)

Did anyone happen to catch the Series Premier last night for Grey's Anatomy?  All I can say is "OMG" it was SO GOOD!

And I don't know about you, but I am also ready for these season premiers too:

So these are just a few of my favorite Fall line-up shows - what are yours?  If you watched Grey's last night - what did you think of the season premiere?  I didn't want to watch it last night - I was too tired to think I could make it through an entire 2 hour show but once my hubby got me started, there was no turning back - he wanted to turn the tv off at 10 and I told him NO WAY! HA!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and that it will be beautiful where you are.  We are expecting a high of 65 and sunny on Saturday and more chance for rain on Sunday morning.  Do you have big weekend plans?  Tonight we have a black tie dinner for charity with my husband's work, and tomorrow I have a dental appt. at 8 a.m. for a cleaning - YUCK!  Other than that, we will be hanging out at home and just relaxing, doing some cooking, etc.  Come back on Monday for some news that I am embarking on - and if you wish to join me in my journey - I would love to have you - the more the merrier!

Thanks for stopping by and please say hello!

Big hugs,

Happy Thursday!

Wow - today is a new day and also one that I don't really have anything to post about due to all of my previous 7 posts being about our Germany Trip - so.... hmmm....I think I will post about some of my favorite Fall things/ideas instead and then you can tell me about yours! Sound good? Yep, I thought so too! :o)

First off.... HAPPY FALL Y'ALL! I LOVE to decorate for this time of year! I love the fact that I can incorporate Fall right into Halloween and Thanksgiving season only having to change out a few items here and there and then we move right into Christmas decorating - which is my FAVORITE!

Since we bought our house at this same time last year,  we really didn't do too much decorating inside or out due to still trying to get moved in and settled.  So this year, we will be decorating from top to bottom inside and out and I am in need of some great ideas - so please feel free to leave me comments and/or pictures showcasing your ideas too! :o)

Here are just a few inside ideas that I L.O.V.E!

I'm still trying to locate some great looking outdoor decorations - especially for the front porch, etc. but can't seem to find what I am looking for.  If you have any great outdoor ideas for Fall - please send them my way - especially if they can be incorporated directly to Halloween and Thanksgiving since those are so close upon us now - wow - hard to believe another year is almost gone.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! I look forward to seeing your fall decorating ideas!

Hugs,
Trac~ :o)

Germany Vacation - Day 7 - Final Day! - Warning LONG POST - LOTS of Pictures!

Happy Hump Day everyone! Hope you are having a glorious and blessed week.  Ours has been good but very busy.  We have finally came to the end of our wonderful Germany vacation and the pictures that go along with it.  So.... without further adieu....

We began our day with the visit of Frankenstein's Castle - it was SO NEAT to see it in person!

Frankenstein's Sign to the Castle:

this is the road on the way to the castle: (looks kind of creepy to me)

This reminds me of the woods of Twilight:

The main road walking to Frankenstein's Castle:

Frankenstein's Castle:

This is the inside of the castle where the villagers came up through this gate to kill the monster and burn the castle down:

This is the outside of the gate that the villagers came through:

This is the trail that they came up from the City below:

This is a beautiful and neat little chapel that is right next to the castle:

After our visit to the Castle we headed to the City of Rudesheim for the rest of the day for some great food and some more shopping - it was such a cute and quaint little village:

This is a really neat thing that is powered by heat from the candles you see in the picture- the heat from the candle is what moves everything (not sure what they are called):

These bells were on the side of a building randomly:

And I thought this was the neatest stained glass window - it was BEAUTIFUL!

Steven found a really neat ice cream shop down the above path:

They scoop out their ice cream and put it in scoops in the windows so when you make your choice the scoop is already there and they just transfer it from the window to the cone, cup, etc.:

Steven's Drink - can't remember what all was in it:

This was my drink - it was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S! The Cherries in it were full of some type of Brandy - YUM!

This was Chris's Hot Coffee - he said it was really good too:

This is the view of the river in Rudesheim from the road:

After all the fun of the day, we went back to the apartment, put stuff up and headed out for our last dinner for the night.  Needless to say - the food wasn't good, but the beer was very good! These are all of our sad faces since it was our last night:

Well, I know it was long today, but I hope you enjoyed the last leg of our trip to Germany.  Thanks for stopping by and please say hello before you leave! Tomorrow will be back to "normal" posting!

Big hugs,
Trac~ :o)
