Happy Monday my friends. This post is going to be a mixture of things so I hope you don't mind and will stick around for the ride. First and foremost, I want to send out all of my love, hugs and prayers to my good friend,
Summer from B is for Brown who lost her daddy Butch yesterday morning to Cancer.
If you can get the time to go by and give her some love and support please do so - she's really hurting and could use all of the love and support she can get. Summer is one of the most wonderful people I have ever met and she is the type of person who will do anything for anyone. She is also a true Southern girl who is from Louisiana and living in the Big Apple with her husband. She and I connected through Blogger but have only had the chance to get together a couple of times for lunch so far over the last year of knowing each other. However, I love this girl dearly and would do anything for her - she is such a sweetheart and has had a really rough time over the past year and has now lost one of the most important people in her life - her dad. Please go give her some love and support and tell her I sent you - she's really needs a lot of love right now.
Secondly, while out doing a little bit of shopping this weekend, I went into one of my favorite stores - Bath and Body Works and found one of my new favorite scents and all I can say is OH MY GOODNESS is it EVER so yummy smelling and delicious! Check it out:
If you like Peppermint - you will LOVE LOVE LOVE this scent - it is to die for! I bought the candle and had to have the lotion as well and I came home, showered and lathered myself up in this yummy goodness and I can't stop smelling my arm because I love the scent so much and I smell just like a giant peppermint stick! LOL Yes, I know it is a tad bit early for the Christmas/Winter scents but one whif of this and I was completely hooked - go try it out - you will love it! :o)
Next, I am participating in
Java from Never Growing Old's 19th Edition of Meet Me On Monday - please feel free to play along and get to know your fellow bloggers better:
Today's questions are as follows:
1. Do you sleep with a night light on? No, I like to have my room completely dark. The only light shining in my room at night is the light from my alarm clock and my stereo.
2. What do you drink with dinner? Usually I drink bottled water, Sweet Tea, or Coca-Cola. I had given up Sodas for over 8 months but recently started drinking them again for some strange reason. However, the one thing I can never give up is my Sweet Tea with Lemon and McDonald's has the BEST Sweet Tea ever (unless I make it at home of course) and it is only $1 for a Large:
3. Do you play the lottery? If so, how often? No, I rarely play the lottery and working in NYC the lottery is everywhere - I might should try playing it more often considering the huge numbers that they pay out when the winning numbers are drawn.
4. How often do you go to the grocery store? I try to go only once every couple of weeks - but in reality, it turns into once a week (mainly on the weekend) due to two 17 year old kiddos who eat me out of house and home- LOL
5. Would you rather travel back in time 500 years or travel forward 500 years? I would much prefer to travel back 500 years and be a "part" of history as it is happening.
If you'd like to play along - please be sure to link up at
Java's so we can see your answers as well.
And one more thing before I go - hurry over to
Jenni's from "She's Getting Married" and congratulate her and her new husband, Spencer, on their nuptials. They just got married on Saturday, the 23rd and are now on their honeymoon. Go show her the love if you get a chance!
Okay, see, I told you it was going to be all over the place today. What did you do this weekend? Anything fun and exciting? We watched our Hogs play and beat Ole Miss - WOO HOO on Saturday and then we pretty much hung out at home, cleaning, cooking, laundry, running errands and doing some shopping. On Saturday afternoon after the game, my friend, Kathy and I did a little shopping at the mall and hung out for a little while. Other than that, I took care of my sick husband and son as they are both still sick with terrible headcolds that they just can't shake. I am hoping my daughter and I don't catch it. Well, that's about it for today - I hope you stuck around for the ride and I can't wait to hear all about your weekends and catch up on your blogs as well. Have a wonderful and blessed day and thanks so much for stopping by to say hello. Again, be sure and leave me a comment letting me know you were here so I can return the favor.
Lots of love and hugs,
