Tuscaloosa Alabama Tornado Footage from 04/27/11

Happy Thursday my friends.  I hope that all of you are doing well and are staying safe after these monster storms that have hit the south since Monday night.  I ran across this footage on Belly Charms (one of the blogs that I frequent) and it's really scary and so sad to watch, but if you get the chance please go here to watch it for yourself.  A UofA grad in Alabama took this from his car and I just couldn't get over how close he was able to get to the tornado.  After growing up in tornado alley (as they call it back home) I would  never be able to do what these storm chasers do every time there is a massive and devastating storm like this.

Thanks for stopping by and please remember all of those in the South - Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and others who have been hit by this awful string of damaging tornadoes since Monday night.  I know I was terrified on Tuesday because my family and friends back home were right in the middle of these storms as well.  Luckily, they are all safe but there have been a lot of deaths and damage left behind in it's path.

Lots of love and hugs,

  1. the storms that have blown across the country have been fierce this year, praying for them all :)

  2. Thanks for sharing it. The news is just heartbreaking today.

  3. You mention working on 5th avenue. Having trouble locating family in the 1700 block of 5th avenue south. What can you tell me?
