Happy Monday my friends! How was your weekend? Great, I hope! Ours was very nice and relaxing. We did a lot of shopping until we dropped! It was mainly for Christmas, plus we got things to take home for Thanksgiving. We decided to start adding a village to our Christmas decorations. We used to have one many years ago but sold it in one of our yard sales. While I didn't get any pictures of our village decorations I did take a couple pictures of our tree as well as the HUGE mess in my living room and dining room area (just keeping it real folks):
See... I toldja - a HUGE mess - LOL. Luckily, my sweet hubby is just as crazy as I am about CHRISTmas so he can handle the mess for a little bit like me, until we can get it all put back together. As you can see, it's a work in progress and I still have tons of work to go. It is a 9 ft pre-lit tree that I got at a yard sale for $25 a few years ago. It was originally $400 and from Hobby Lobby. I'd say I got a heck of a good deal, what do you think?! :). The only bad thing is that as I get older, the tougher it gets to pull it all together by myself. My husband works on the outside lights as I work on the tree. We are starting earlier this year because we will be home in Arkansas for Thanksgiving so we won't be able to do it Thanksgiving weekend as we normally do.
Anyway.... Tell me about your weekend. Did you do anything fun and exciting?? Fill me in and update me with all of your fun stuff!! Oh and since I only had 2 entries for my 1000th post giveaway, I am giving them each a gift since they entered. So.... A Joyful Chaos and Lauren Taylor - congrats! Please email me your home addresses and I will go pick out a necklace for each of you and get it out sometime later this week. :)
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by to say hello and please let me know you were here! :)
Lots of love and hugs,
Thank-you for your generosity!
ReplyDeleteI love your Christmas tree! It's beautiful! The children have been asking if we can set ours up, but since we use a coal furnace to heat the house I'm wanting to wait a little while yet because the dust is horrible.
Thank you! I've not gotten it anywhere even complete yet, but it is getting there, slowly but surely! I wouldn't have put ours up this early if we were going to be home this Thanksgiving. :)
DeleteP.S. I'm sorry I can't find your email address. Mine is ajoyfulnoise(at)live(dot)com if you could send me an email I can reply with my mailing address.
ReplyDeleteAgain, thanks so much!
I sent you an email! :)
DeleteYour tree looks great - making me want to decorate but MY husband would NOT be happy with Xmas going up this early. Haha! Sorry I missed your 1000th post - how exciting! I will try to visit more. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend! I miss seeing your beautiful face so yes, please do visit more! :)
DeleteAt last I've found a way to access your blog. As easy as pie, I simply clicked on the list of blogs I follow and hey presto there you were. Lovely tree but too early for me. I'm still trying to get over the fact that my mam has not only finished her shopping but has everything wrapped. Anyway great to catch up. Best wishes to you and yours.
