Show Us Your Life - Children's Rooms

Happy Friday my peeps!  All I can say is THANK goodness it's FINALLY here!  I am so tired and so glad that the weekend is here. What is on your agendas? Anything fun?  Today is Kelly from Kelly's Korner Show Us Your Life segment and this week is your Children's Rooms. Well, since I want to keep things "real" I am going to show you my two kid's rooms in all of their glory.  Plus, I wanted to play along so that I could also document the kid's rooms the way they are for the "before" and "afters" once I get their rooms completed.  All I can say is be prepared and remember 2 teenagers live here (and these are NOT the way I like them to be kept - just remember this) LOL:

My daughter's room - still in the light pink that it was in when we bought the house over 2 years ago.  We are slowly making our way up stairs with the painting and the remodeling so unfortunately, the kid's rooms are last on the list:

This is looking into her room from the door:  Across the room is her Marilynn Monroe poster that we will frame once we redo her room soon.  On the right wall is the cedar chest I refurbished and painted for her (though you can't see it thanks to all of her clothes on top)
At the other end of the right side of the wall: (on the far right is a sign from New York that we got straight from a street vendor that we are also going to frame - did I mention we are doing her rom in a Broadway/Hollywood type theme? :o)
 Another NY sign:
Looking at her bed from the door - (she doesn't want a bed frame for some odd reason)
The Paris frame that I am going to paint:
My son's room - its the same light blue as when we bought it over 2 years ago (again, it's on the list)
His posters and guitars at the end of his bed - did I tell you he's a "guitar man" :o)
His black "chest" that I got for free and refurbished for his room a few months ago:
Looking towards his tv and closet from his bed:  (did I mention how bad I HATE mirrored closet doors)
His "surround sound" that he hooked up himself (again, something I do not like - but...)
So there you go - like I said - I'm just keeping it real ya'll - LOL  Again, don't think we allow these rooms to stay like this every day - but there's not a lot I can do when they come in from school and re-destroy it like it was never cleaned up to begin with. HA!  Be sure and go to Kelly's and check out the rest of the children's rooms.  I, for one, can't wait to see the other rooms so that I can get more ideas to add to my portfolio for decorating my house.  I have really enjoyed everyone else's rooms so far and you should check them out if you've not done so yet.

Have a great day and an even better weekend and thanks for stopping by to say hello.

Lots of love and hugs,
