Sigh of Relief

Happy Thursday dolls and welcome! It has been one of those weeks but hey - we are now on the downhill slide so it has to get better right?  I mean, the weekend is around the corner for goodness sakes!

However, on another note - I don't know how much coverage you've been watching with the Chile' miners but I personally have sighed a huge sigh of relief just knowing that they got all of those men (and the 6 rescuers) out safe and sound.  Can you imagine being stuck underground for 69 days in extreme 90 degree temps with a bunch of other sweaty and stinky men? Ewww.... LOL  All kidding aside - I am so thankful that they each made it out safe and sound.  I do have to admit though having the drama of the girlfriend vs. wife was kind of funny to me.  I just wouldn't have imagined that plus knowing that neither of the other one knew who "she" was.  If I were the wife I would really be pissed off.  I mean, I am glad the guy got out alive, safe and sound - but what a big dumb jerk!

Anywho..... my hats off to the rescurers for all of their hard work in bringing these men to safety.  And to the President of the country who was their to greet each one of them as they came to the surface.

Have a great day my peeps and thanks for stopping by to say hello.  It is my intention to get caught up on all of your blogs this weekend.  I don't have anything major planned or chores to be done other than taking my baby girl to the vet on Saturday morning and watching my beloved Hogs play Auburn.  So it should be a nice and relaxed weekend for a change.  :o)

P.S.  Yes, my posts are in pink to help support Breast Cancer Awareness Month - what can I say - I like to be "different" - LOL

Lots of love and hugs,

  2. Too funny! I was totally relieved to see the rescue operation going so smoothly. So much that I also had to laugh at the whole wife/girlfriend drama. I mean, the guy looked so embarrassed to have been outed on INTERNATIONAL tv, LOL.

    But truly, yes, relieved! :)

  4. Miracles do happen! This is such a great story and one of the few happy ones on the news these days.

I totally agree about the wife and girlfriend thing though. I bet that mine's starting to look pretty good to that guy right about now.

  5. Congratulations for your choice. It's a moving story and I was following it. I feel like the whole world so relieved! Regarding the whole wife/girlfriend drama I would say this is the Mass Media cooking... and does not have any kind of interest... Just gossips for the ordinary people...
