Happy Thursday everyone! Hope you've had a great week so far. It is a really wet and gloomy day here today but thankfully, it isn't snowing - whew! I think everyone in these parts are completely tired of this winter - it has been a very rough one to say the least! Ack!
Anyway - I had to brag on my new little "nephew", Jack. My friend whom I've been besties with since 5th grade and her husband just adopted their son officially yesterday. They've been fostering him for the last year or so and the date kept getting pushed back and pushed back until it was finally completed yesterday and we couldn't be prouder for them all. They've been married for the last 10 years (as of today) - and have been trying to have a baby but never could and like some of my sweet friends here in bloggy land, they desperately wanted a child and deserved a child just as much as the rest of us and will make great parents.
So... without further adieu - here is a picture of my new little "nephew" - Jack:
Isn't he just an absolute DOLL! Just look at those big brown eyes! I can't wait to meet him. Every time I've been in town something has happened so I wasn't able to visit. You can tell he is one happy little boy - I mean, just look at that face and that huge smile! :) Because he was in the foster system - this picture is obviously from Valentine's Day because she couldn't post any pictures anywhere of him until after he was adopted. So now the task is to do something (maybe make something) really, really special for my friend, Jules and her new little family.
Okay my peeps - I'm off to get ready for work - the commute in should be interesting this morning to say the least - *sigh*
