Weekend Recap - Birthday and Mother's Day Edition

Happy Monday my peeps!  How are you?  How was your Mother's Day weekend?  I hope you were all treated like the Queen you deserve to be treated as!  I had a wonderful weekend and Mother's Day yesterday.  I was spoiled beyond belief and am so blessed! :o) Friday night consisted of getting together with our friends and enjoying a great evening together.  They brought me over my birthday gift from last week and it was SO NICE and SO SWEET! These are two people whom I adore so much and it's so nice having great friends who live just around the corner.  On Saturday my daughter and I went for a manicure and pedicure and did the girly thing - which was nice!  Yesterday, I woke up at 11:00 (yes, you read that right) to my son cooking me breakfast which consisted of Eggs, Toast and Coffee - it was delicious!  Then my daughter gave me a beautiful scrapbook page that she made for me and then she and her boyfriend brought me a beautiful floral gift of Begonias.  Needless to say, I did NOTHING all day yesterday, which was just perfect! I didn't even get out of my pajamas! HA!  It was GREAT! (P.S. which is why you won't see a picture of me and my kids from Mother's Day - LOL)  My wonderful husband had to work all weekend due to inventory, etc., but once he got home, he ordered pizza and all of us laid around and watched the movie, The Blindside, again.  If you've NOT had a chance to see it - RUN and rent it - or even better - buy it to add to your collection, because after you've seen it once - you will NOT want to be without it!  It is such an awesome movie and is really what being a christian is all about.  To me and my husband, these are the best of Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw's movies - they really portray the family so accurately that it's scary - it could have seriously been these two who the story was based on.

Anyway, I wanted to leave you with a few pictures from both my birthday and Mother's Day weekend - but the first 2 pictures are of the Mother's Day gifts I made for my mom and my mother-in-law that I had told you about last week.  The moms LOVED them! SCORE! :o)

As you can see, I was VERY VERY spoiled and had both a wonderful birthday and a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!  I hope yours was just as special!  Sorry for the picture overload but I just couldn't leave any of them out.  Also, the gift my girlfriend and her husband brought me didn't upload for some reason, so I will have to upload it in the next couple of days.  It is a GORGEOUS music box that says something about True Friends on the front of it and plays the song - "That's What Friends Are For" and I.LOVE.IT!  One more thing I don't intend to leave out - I got to enjoy a birthday lunch with the lovely and beautiful Summer over at B is for Brown on Thursday.  She too spoiled me by taking me to lunch for my birthday but we both forgot to take our picture together - :o(

Well, you know the drill - I am running LATE, LATE, LATE, so I must hop for now.  I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed day today and I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend or just weekend in general and an even better day today.  Thanks for stopping by to say hello.

Lots of love and hugs,
