Happy Monday my friends! How are you? How was your weekend? Ours was good but very busy and it went by way too fast for my liking - that's for sure! Anyway, we started out Friday night just laying around the house relaxing and watching some Sci-Fi as per our usual Friday night rituals. Unfortunately, the hubby wasn't feeling too well most of the night and laid beside me sleeping while I watched Sci-Fi and prepared posts for the upcoming week. LOL Saturday morning started out with me having an early morning visit to the eye doctor for my annual exam. I've been having problems with my left eye for a while just feeling more strained and burning more than usual. The doctor said it was probably overcompensating for my right eye due to a stigmatism but that my eyes were very healthy, so she just changed the prescription on my glasses and that should help it a lot and she gave me eye drops to use as well - hopefully, that will do the trick.
After my eye doctor's appointment, we headed up to Connecticut to take our daughter to her best friends to visit before school started back for them both. She is staying for the week and is really looking forward to seeing her old friends and hanging out. After dropping her off, me and hubby went to Lowe's and Target to do a little shopping for a new tv and then went to our rent house there in CT to check on it and see if anything needed to be done. Well, needless to say we had to spend an hour and a half trimming bushes and such because they were WAY overgrown. But it was a nice day spent just the hubby and I. We rarely have much time together so even though we were working in the yard - it was still very nice just being together. Later that night, son, hubby and I went and bought a new 42" flat screen tv for the living room.
On Sunday Steven had to work and so my son and I went to church at a new Parish that I had been wanting to try for a while and am thinking of joining. We haven't really had a "home" church since leaving Arkansas back in 2005 and I would really like to get settled somewhere again. It turned out to be a really nice church that actually looks bigger from the outside but is small and intimate inside but GORGEOUS. When you walk in the front doors there is a huge waterfall that is the Holy Water - it was just so neat. You could tell everyone there knew everyone else and it just had a small hometown feeling. I think we will definitely be back and be joining. I felt so comfortable there my first visit and felt at "home". After church we ran a few errands and then hung out the rest of the day at home and I got caught up on washing clothes to prepare for the week ahead. While I was working on a few chores around the house, hubby and son put the tv together and got it programmed and all set up - it looks SO NICE! :o)
Oh... here are the pictures from my summer table that I thought I had posted a while back and realized when I looked back through my archive that they weren't anywhere to be found. I wanted to show these to you because I was very happy with the way it turned out and have really enjoyed seeing this every day since May when I set it up this way. I hope you like it too! :o)
So how was your weekend? What all did you and your family do? I can't wait to hear all about it and catch up with you all. Thanks for stopping by to say hello and have a great day!
Lots of love and hugs,
Hope your eye is now settled - it really is awful when they are sore and feel full of grit.
