Happy Monday my friends! How the heck are ya?! I've missed you guys so much and wish I could have had the time to post each day or just check in with you but it was a very busy week to say the least! :o) We left Thursday night after work about 8 p.m. and drove 22 hours straight through to Panama City Beach. The first couple of days we were in PCB we actually stayed at my brother's house until we could get the condo. We were supposed to have gotten it a couple days early but someone decided to rent it for those 2 days instead so we had 13 people in a 3 bedroom condo with 1 bathroom - talk about crowded! HA!
One of the pools at my brother's house (in his complex):
Saturday night we went to dinner with everyone including Steven's brother, James, and his lovely wife, Nisa. My brother, Rob took us to a bbq restaurant that was DELICIOUS! They had some of the best smoked chicken wings I've ever tasted in my life. They were SO good that we went back and got more of them another night for dinner. Of course we went during the time it was considered happy hour so we got a dozen for only $4.99 and then the draft beers was $1.50 each - needless to say my family of 4 got out of there with a total bill including tip of only $60.00 - that was awesome!
Sunday morning first thing we were able to get into the condo thankfully.
This was our room - I loved the painting on the wall:
Sisters and brother-in-law's room:
Mom and her hubby's room:
The 2nd day we were there my sister fell down the stairs at the condo and cracked her tailbone and possibly cracked or broke her elbow so you can just imagine how bad the rest of us felt for her as well as how bad she felt the rest of our time there. After a few days she did start getting up and around and out with us so that was good, but poor thing - I just hurt terribly for her. Here are the stairs just so you can get an idea of how steep they were and these are the 2nd set of stairs - not the first set that she fell down but they are all this steep:
The condo was very nice - it was 3 floors with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths and a huge kitchen, laundry room, 3 balconies (one with an ocean view) and a huge living room. All of the bedrooms and living room each had their own bathrooms and flat screen tvs which was very nice! :o) However, the worse part was that the kitchen and living room were all on the very top floor - UGH! My knees did not like going up and down those three flights of stairs several times a day - especially since hubby and I were on the bottom floor!

And though the paint on the wall in the living room and kitchen look red - it was actually a deep dark orange that was beautiful! There was also teal and cream throughout the kitchen and livingroom area as well. It was a great color combination for that area. I loved how they had each room a different color but how well it all blended together to make the perfect pallet.
Well, I guess that ends the tour for day 1, 2 and 3. I will post more tomorrow for the next couple of days and so forth. I don't want to burn you out too fast! I hope all of you had a wonderful week and I look forward to catching back up with you and your blogs and just getting back into my normal routine!
Have a wonderful and blessed day my peeps and thanks for stopping by to say hello!
Lots of love and hugs,
We were on vacation too - but here in MN.
ReplyDeleteThe condo looks great! I love the painting in your room - how beachy and tropical!
ReplyDeleteYour poor sister- what a terrible thing to have happen on vacation. I hope she's feeling better.
Can't wait to see more of your trip! Welcome back!
Your sister sounds like she has vacation luck like I do. Every time we go some place I get hurt. Never fails. I swore I would come home from Hawaii in a body bag. Can't wait for more Vacation recaps!!! XOXO
ReplyDeleteWhat fun (except for your poor sister - OUCH!). I love your room - so bright and cheery!! :)
