Weekend Recap

Happy Monday my peeps! How was your weekend? Ours was great and we got a LOT done.  It was very busy but nice.  On Friday night the hubster and I had about 4 or 5 hours to ourselves at home with no kiddos and it was SO nice and quiet and relaxing.  Then on Saturday morning I had to go to the dentist and get one quadrant (sp?) of my teeth cleaned.  In order to do this, I also had to take a Valium an hour beforehand, as most of you know that have been around here a while, that I am terrified of needles.  Welll..... lucky for me - they didn't have to use ANY needles on my mouth that day.   That was the BEST and EASIEST dental visit EVAH!  Afterwards I came home, figured up a few bills with the hubby and then laid down at 11:30 and slept until 2:30 - (I still had the effects of Valium in my system).  It was WONDERFUL!  I needed that nap so bad.

Then at 3:30 p.m. I went to see my friend's son play basketball and really enjoyed the game.  It had been such a long time since I'd been to a kid's basketball game and I had such a great time.  Her son, D. played SO good and was such an awesome player!  I was really impressed!  After the game I came home and met my family and we went to dinner for my son's 16th birthday.  We celebrated a week early as his birthday is next weekend and he wants to have friends come and hang out the weekend of his birthday, so we did the family thing Saturday night instead.  Hard to believe my baby boy is growing up so fast.    He wanted to go to Pub 199 eat Seafood so that's where we went.  Here are a few pictures from dinner that night:

On Sunday, my son had his last ski race of the season, but I woke up with a severe headache where my head felt like it was in a pair of vice-grips so my husband had to go alone while I slept for a couple more hours.  Then I got up and my daughter and I went to get our eyebrows beautified - it was long overdue!  We did a little bit of shopping and then came home.  I made some Lentil soup and began painting some more of my trim in the living room.  It is really starting to come together even more.  I can't wait until it's complete and I can show you the finished product.  :o)

Well that was how my weekend went - how was yours? Anything new and exciting happen your way? Maybe you just hung out and relaxed or maybe you were productive and got some things done around the house?  Whatever your weekend consisted of, I hope it was nice and relaxing.  I can't wait to read and catch up on all of your blogs.  I hope you have a wonderful day today and a great week ahead.  Unfortunately, we are expecting even MORE snow tonight and tomorrow - *sigh*

Lots of love and hugs,
Trac- :o)

  6. Your son is turning 16! Will he (or is he) driving yet?

Looks like fun - we had a good weekend. Mickey took the kids to his moms on Sunday so I had a good chunk of the day to myself and it was lovely!
