Weekend Recap - Floor Redo

Happy Monday my friends and welcome! How was your weekend?  Did you do anything fun and exciting?  We worked around the house all day on Saturday starting bright and early Saturday morning and then deciding to finally "quit" about 7 p.m. just in time to watch our Hogs play football on tv.  While we watched tv, the hubs decided to make some yummy ribs and loaded nachos and served that with some nice cold beer.  Whew - we were so tired - here are a few pictures of our "hard" work:

I don't know if you can tell or not - but the flooring at the "top" of this picture is the old wood floor that is about 38 years old and in really bad shape and the "bottom" half of this picture is the new floor we were in the middle of putting down:

Talk about HARD work but SO WORTH the pain and effort to put it in and get our office closer to being completed.  Then on Sunday I went and got an oil change, my husband went to work for a little while and then he met me and the kiddos at the mall and we did some much needed shopping.  They had a lot of great deals and I got some new and great ideas for my kid's Christmas gifts - trust me they are teens and VERY hard to buy for now! LOL

So what did you do?  How was your weekend?  Please fill me in!  I hope to catch up with your blogs starting this morning at the office and then commenting on them later tonight as I am going to have some free time for a change in order to do so.

Well, looks like it's that time again - so I better finish getting ready.  Have a great day my peeps and thanks so much for stopping by to say hello!

Lots of love and hugs,

  2. I love the wood floor. Really wished I had done wood instead of tile in my kitchen. Those tiles are freezing cold and really hard to stand on for long periods of time.

  4. The floor looks good! I had a great date night with Mickey in Seattle on Saturday. Well, kind of a date night - we went with 5 other couples. But no kids. They were sure cranky on Sunday though - the one downside to disrupting their routine.
