Three Things Thursday

Happy Friday Eve, peeps.  I hope all is well your way so far.  My week has actually kind of sucked and yesterday was an extremely bad day at the office.  It didn't matter what I touched, I messed it up every single time - it was ridiculous.  But, today is a new day and hopefully a much better one. Without further adieu, here are my Three Things Thursday - please feel free to play along! :)

1.  To hate having Vertigo.  I've been up sick all night with it and it is miserable to say the least.  I don't know if the extreme dizziness is caused by my new meds or something else

2.  To be thrilled that Fall is finally here, though we are still not getting it here in the Texas area, I'm hoping it gets here soon

3.  To be so glad that tomorrow is Finally Friday.  This has truly been a week from hell at the office and not feeling good on top of that has made it even more miserable.

SO what about you?  What are your Three Things Thursday this week?  I hope that you are all having a fantastic week so far and have exciting plans for the weekend.  I can't wait to catch up with your blogs today. :)  Have a great day lovies!

Hey, It's Okay Tuesday!

Hey there! I hope you are having a fantastic week so far.  Yes, I do realize it is only Tuesday....sigh.... However, because it is Tuesday, that means it is time to join in with Amber and the others who play along in the "Hey, It's Okay Tuesday" linky party.  So.... here we go:

-- To be very relieved I didn't wake up to a sick dog again this morning like I did yesterday, and be ecstatic that whatever he got a hold of in the back yard and ate, finally left his system

-- To not be ashamed that I am one of those people who require coffee to get me up and through the morning - sometimes 2 cups, sometimes more

-- To not be happy that we have auditors at the bank from now through the end of the year

-- To really be longing for home, aka Arkansas, and doing everything in my power to get back there for good

-- To be disappointed yet again with my HOGS and the awful game they played on Saturday against Texas Tech - yet another game we should have won

-- To wish once and for all that it would hurry up and get COOL here in Texas, this heat at this time of year is just too much - blah

Have a great day lovies and thanks for stopping by! Please don't forget to let me know you were here so I can stop by your blog and leave comments too! :)

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday guys and dolls! I trust you've had a fabulous weekend!  We did, but it was way too short. The only downfall to our weekend was that our Hogs blew it yet again in football, which has me and the entire State of Arkansas all greatly upset, as you can imagine - sigh...

Anywho, hubby and I spent our weekend cleaning out our garage, watching football, cleaning and cooking and just hanging out.  Other than football, our weekend was quite peaceful.  We also did some shopping for Halloween decorations, but had very little luck as far as yard decorations go.  Our neighbors across the street always have a huge Halloween party from what we are told and they and the other neighbors all decorate their yards up big time.  At this point in time, I'm not sure we can even compete with their yard decorations unless something changes and we're able to find something to use for outside. That, and we have to find our Halloween costumes for the big party too. :)

Well, this is going to be short and sweet as I don't have much to say or talk about after the weekend. However, I can't end this post without a little Monday humor:

So tell me...... how did you spend your weekend? Thanks for stopping by.  Have an awesome day lovies! :)

Friday Favorites - Where You Live Edition

Good morning and happy T*G*I*F FINALLY!!!! Whew, I don't know about you but man, am I truly and completely exhausted and SO thankful that it is FINALLY Friday and the weekend - WHOOP WHOOP!!!  One of my favorite bloggers, Becky, from The Java Mama and her friend, Kim, from Faith, Grace & Giggles have started a Friday Favorites Linky Party from September 11th thru October 23rd and I am going to be playing along each week and I hope you'll come join in the fun - every week has a different topic.

This week's edition is Where You Live.,,,,

If you've been following my blog for any time at all, then you already know where I live currently and where I've lived over the last 10 years of my life, and that I am from the Wonderful State of Arkansas.  My husband and I have been married going on 18 years next month and we have lived in several different states in the past 10 years thanks to his job.  We currently reside in the Houston Texas area but here is where we HAVE lived:

* July 2005 - moved from Home aka Arkansas to Long Island, New York - talk about a culture shock
* February 2006 - moved back home to Arkansas
* July 2006 - moved to Connecticut where we lived until November 2007
* November 2007 - moved to Florham Park, New Jersey
* September 2008 - moved to Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey where we lived for 3 1/2 years
* July 2011 - moved back home to Arkansas
* February 2012 - moved to the Houston, Texas area where we now currently reside

Here are a few things to do here in the Houston area especially if you have young kids or are sports fans:

Whew, talk about a whirlwind of moving - I felt like an army wife, though my husband isn't in the service at all and is actually in retail with the airports, and sometimes they move us like we are in the services - it.is.crazy.  But, needless to say, we are getting older and have grown very weary of all of the moves. We are actually renting here and have been for the last 3 1/2 years, because I am just not convinced that we are going to put down roots here when I long to be back home so badly near my family and friends. I am pushing my man to move us back HOME to Arkansas as soon as we are able to get back there where we belong and where my heart longs to be. I have already began the job search, though it's him who obviously has to get the job first.  I don't know if it will happen anytime soon in the near future, but I am really praying for it to work out in our favor that way.  So tell me.... where do YOU live? I look forward to reading all about it on your blogs later today.  Thanks for stopping by and please let me know you were here. And because it IS Friday, I'll leave you with these images:

Have a lovely day and a wonderful weekend my friends.

Lots of love and hugs,
