Good morning and happy T*G*I*F FINALLY!!!! Whew, I don't know about you but man, am I truly and completely exhausted and SO thankful that it is FINALLY Friday and the weekend - WHOOP WHOOP!!! One of my favorite bloggers, Becky, from The Java Mama and her friend, Kim, from Faith, Grace & Giggles have started a Friday Favorites Linky Party from September 11th thru October 23rd and I am going to be playing along each week and I hope you'll come join in the fun - every week has a different topic.
This week's edition is Where You Live.,,,,
If you've been following my blog for any time at all, then you already know where I live currently and where I've lived over the last 10 years of my life, and that I am from the Wonderful State of Arkansas. My husband and I have been married going on 18 years next month and we have lived in several different states in the past 10 years thanks to his job. We currently reside in the Houston Texas area but here is where we HAVE lived:
* July 2005 - moved from Home aka Arkansas to Long Island, New York - talk about a culture shock
* February 2006 - moved back home to Arkansas
* July 2006 - moved to Connecticut where we lived until November 2007
* November 2007 - moved to Florham Park, New Jersey
* September 2008 - moved to Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey where we lived for 3 1/2 years
* July 2011 - moved back home to Arkansas
* February 2012 - moved to the Houston, Texas area where we now currently reside
Here are a few things to do here in the Houston area especially if you have young kids or are sports fans:
Whew, talk about a whirlwind of moving - I felt like an army wife, though my husband isn't in the service at all and is actually in retail with the airports, and sometimes they move us like we are in the services - it.is.crazy. But, needless to say, we are getting older and have grown very weary of all of the moves. We are actually renting here and have been for the last 3 1/2 years, because I am just not convinced that we are going to put down roots here when I long to be back home so badly near my family and friends. I am pushing my man to move us back HOME to Arkansas as soon as we are able to get back there where we belong and where my heart longs to be. I have already began the job search, though it's him who obviously has to get the job first. I don't know if it will happen anytime soon in the near future, but I am really praying for it to work out in our favor that way. So tell me.... where do YOU live? I look forward to reading all about it on your blogs later today. Thanks for stopping by and please let me know you were here. And because it IS Friday, I'll leave you with these images:

Have a lovely day and a wonderful weekend my friends.
Lots of love and hugs,
Aw man all those moves! I know you miss home. But at least Texas isn't too bad!
ReplyDeleteWow, I'm in Cypress! Glad to have you here in my hometown :-) The link up is going to be every week indefinitely - we just only have through October planned, so far.
ReplyDeleteThanks for swinging by! I live in the Dallas area and am dying to visit Houston. My husband has family in Sugarland, so hopefully we'll head down that way soon!
