More than you wanted to know:

Since I am at a loss for words today, I decided to do this couples survey that I stole borrowed from others and have seen floating around in the blogosphere for a while. Hope you don't mind. :o)

What are your middle names?
Michael and Renee

How long have you been together?
We just celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary last week on October 29th.

How long did you know each other before you started dating?
2 months - (yes, I know, I know...don't judge - it worked out!)

Who asked who out?
He asked me out the night we first met and I proceeded to give him my 1-800 number at work as I wasn't sure I liked him and would want to go out with him - HA!

How old are each of you?
Steven is 40 and I am 41 (I am 8 months older than him but he looks older than me - shhh... hee hee hee)

Did you go to the same school?
No.

Are you from the same home town?
No, our hometowns are about an hour apart.

Who is the smartest?
Depends on what it has to do with - when it comes to Computers and English/Grammar, proofreading and Spelling - that would be me - but when it comes to finance and money and houses, cars, etc., that would definitely be Steven.

Who majored in what?
Me – English
Steven – History with a minor in Mass Communications

Who is the most sensitive?
Used to be me - but now definitely Steven

Where do you eat out most as a couple?
Hard to say - we really enjoy trying several different places and unless we find one we really like then we don't tend to visit the same place often.

Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
Germany when we celebrated our 10 year anniversary (2 years late) the first week of September this year.

Who has the worst temper?
That's a tough one - I think he does and he says it's me - sooo...

How many children do you want?
When we got married my husband wanted a baseball team - but when I met him I could no longer have children - so lucky for us both - he had a 3 yo son from his previous marriage and I had a 3 yo daughter from my previous marriage and so it has worked out great - now we have 2 nearly 16 yo teenagers living at home! YIKES! :o)

Who does the cooking?
Definitely me but there are times where he will cook like grilled chicken wings, etc.

Who is more social?
Definitely ME - the more the merrier I always say - but he hates crowds.

Who is the neat-freak?
OMG - HE is - I'm more of a relaxed person when it comes to that - but he is VERY VERY ANAL about being neat - his mother said he came out of her that way! HA!

Who is the most stubborn?
Oh crap - that would be ME. *sigh*

Who wakes up earlier?
Me - I like my "me" time in the morning before getting my day started.

Where was your first date?
Playworld in Conway, Arkansas - with.our.kids.  Seriously! I tried to break the date 3 times that day because I didn't have a babysitter for my daughter, but he finally decided we'd take our kids with us and we did and had a great time together. :o)

Who has the bigger family?
Definitely me

Do you get flowers often?
Yes, I have my own "personal" rose garden thanks to my wonderful husband who takes great care of the roses and other plants since he is the one with the green thumb!  Here is one of the roses from my garden:

How do you spend the holidays?
When we lived in Arkansas and within an hour from everyone - we spent them with both families - now we spend them with just each other and our 2 kids - makes me really homesick even more when Thanksgiving and Christmas are here - I really miss my family during that time.

Who is more jealous?
Neither - we've never been the jealous type with one another and it's a good thing because I know a lot of people and always had people come up to me and hug me (guys he'd never met, etc.) and he works with a LOT of women.

How long did it take to get serious?
2 months - we'd both been married before and knew what we wanted this time around, so we just "went for it" and ran off at lunch one day to the courthouse and got married before the Justice of the Peace. A year later we had a Catholic wedding in the church, once I had converted to Catholocism from Baptist.  (His entire family is Catholic)

Who eats more?
Steven (he's a man... nuff said)

What do you do for a living?
Me – Legal Secretary in NYC
Steven – General Manager for the Paradies Shops at the Newark International Airport

Who does the laundry?
Definitely me

Who’s better with the computer?
Me for sure

Who drives when you are together?
Steven. I hate driving.

What is "your" song?
"You Are The Love Of My Life" by Sammy Kershaw (that was our song at our church wedding)

Sooo... that's some stuff about me - what about you?  Tell me your couples stories! P.S. Since all of my actual wedding photos are already scrapbooked, I will see if I can scan them in and copy them to show you our wedding in the church when I have the time - not sure when it will be yet - but I will try soon. :o)

Have a great Monday!  Hard to believe it is already November 2nd - wow - where has the year gone?

Hugs, Trac~ :o)

  6. What a great survey to really get to know you! I love it :)

My hubby and I met when he was my boss when I was in college, I chased him down! Our song was always our wedding song "What a wonderful world" but ever since Alan Jackson sang "Remember When?" it took over as "our song".
