Answers to Q&A

Happy Monday my peeps! How are you?  How was your weekend?  Ours was great and we had a lot of fun celebrating my husband's Father's Day early on Saturday and just hanging out as a family.  Both of my kiddos are going to be gone on Father's Day and my husband will be as well so I will have the day to myself - WOO HOO! HA!  No, seriously, they will be gone - my daughter will be gone all summer and my son for 2 weeks which is going to be VERY strange around here as we are so used to them being here all of the time - but at the same time, I am happy for them both as they have great summers planned and it will be nice for the hubster and I to have a little "alone" and "quality" time together for a change.  :o)

Okay - so I promised you answers to your wonderful questions from last week's Q&A session, so here it goes:

(1)  The Mighty M Family wanted to know what is my most embarrassing moment:

Well.... to be honest this was a really hard one as I know there have been several embarrassing moments in my lifetime, but the one that really sticks out to me is when I was married to my ex-husband and we had full custody of his 2 sons who were 4 & 5 at the time (and I was pregnant with my daughter than too) and we were hiring a babysitter for them.  She was 16 yo and so she and her dad both came to the house to be "interviewed" and meet the boys.  All went well for the first 10 minutes or so and then I sent the boys to their room so that I could finish speaking to the girl and her dad about the job.  Five minutes later my youngest stepson came running back into the living room to inform me that my oldest stepson had said the new babysitter was fat!  He said it OUT LOUD and was laughing and carrying on and I thought I was going to die right then and there.  Of course, I sent him back to his room, and apologized like crazy for his behavior.  The daughter and dad thanked me and said not to worry about it but I could tell they were just as embarrassed too.  Needless to say, that night when their dad got home he sat them down and had a long talk to them and then we made them call and apologize to both the dad and the daughter (I was crying on the phone while trying to talk to them ahead of time - remember I was pregnant and hormonal - LOL).  Anyway, the daughter became their babysitter and they absolutely adored her!  :o)

(2)  Tracy over at Pen and Paper wanted to know if I could be any person from history or a book/film/tv character who would I be and why:

Well, I think I would like to be someone from tv - currently I would like to be "Rachel" from GLEE because she is a very gorgeous girl, she has a great set of pipes and is very talented to say the least and I personally have NO pipes that can sing whatsoever - much less, dance... so I would really enjoy filling her shoes for one day and having that talent and beauty. :o)

(3)  Steven Anthony from Life in the Fishbowl wanted to know if I could live anywhere in the world, where would it be:

This was an EASY one - I would definitely live in the Caribbean Islands somewhere as I am a total beach bum and would be very happy selling coconut drinks on the beach - LOL

(4)  Summer from B is for Brown, Breathe and Believe wanted to know a song that gets me out of a funk and into a good mood:

I actually have two songs that can always put a smile on my face and get me out of a funk and they are both by Kenny Chesney - "When the Sun Goes Down" with him and Uncle Kracker and his song - "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem" - I absolutely heart these two songs! :o)

(5)  Mae Rae from In and Out of the Bubble wanted to know if I could be a dessert...any dessert at all, what would you consider yourself:

Hmmm... this was a pretty tough one really - I have 3 favorite desserts actually so it's hard to really determine which one I would "be" but they are:  German Chocolate Cake (my absolute favorite from my childhood that my mother always made for me every.single.birthday) but it can only be the one with the coconut icing not the one that has chocolate icing all around it, Pecan Pie as I lurve pecans and the yummy stickiness and gooiness that makes it up and then my current favorite would be Strawberry Shortcake - which I guess would be the dessert I would "be" - probably because it is short (like me) and has many layers of sweet strawberries and then topped with the yummy coolwhip to complete the ensemble.  :o)

(6)  Betty from Cut and Dry wanted to know if I could be a flower what flower would I consider myself:

Another hard one - LOL - Since I am so not a flower person (I really love my "personal" flower garden that my husband made for me but never wanted him to waste money on flowers that only die within a couple of days) - I would say that I would consider myself a Daisy since it is my most favorite flower.  But not just any Daisy - I like the "bright and colorful" ones that are called Gerbera Daisies:

Well, I think I answered them all.  Thanks for playing along and have a very happy Monday my friends!  P.S. Also, I have NO CLUE why the heck blogger is doing that thing it's doing to my photos - but it's driving.me.NUTS! So please excuse the "side" look - LOL

Lots of love and hugs,
