Happy Monday peeps! Hope you had a fabulous weekend and are ready to tackle a new week ahead. Ours was a crazy FAST weekend to say the least and we are completely worn smooth out. Today was a day I definitely needed to stay home and sleep all day, that's for sure. My eyes are burning like crazy and I see a LOT of coffee in my future today and possibly this week......
Quick highlights:
-- Left Houston Friday morning at 4:30 and headed to Little Rock to meet hubby's mom and brother
-- Made it to Little Rock at 11:30 and saw that the new Outlets were open, so of course we had to stop in - little did we know it was opening day - YIKES - people were everywhere
-- Had an interview with an Employment Agency in Little Rock at 1 p.m. - looks promising and am hoping for new job opportunities in Arkansas very soon, fingers crossed
-- Met his mom and brother at 2:30 at his brother's house, left for Missouri at 3 p.m.
-- Made it to Caruthersville, Missouri about 6:30 and got to spend a few minutes with my baby girl. No baby this weekend, which makes this Gigi very happy because he needs to bake a little longer - 5 weeks is too early
-- Made it to Sikeston, Missouri about 7:30 or 8:00 and went to Lambert's Cafe - home of the throwed rolls for dinner - the food was eh, okay, nothing special
-- Made it to the hotel about 10 p.m. that night and settled in for the night to prepare for the drive to Illinois the next day
-- Got up and left for Illinois and made it there about 2 p.m. before the memorial service was to begin
-- Enjoyed the service, saw a lot of hubby's relatives we haven't seen in years, went and hung out with them for a while and then drove back to Sikeston for another night stay and watched our Cubbies lose to the Mets the first game in the series :(
-- Yesterday morning we left at 7:30 and headed back to Arkansas to drop off mom-in-law and brother-in-law then hubby and I had another 8 hour drive ahead of us.
-- Got back to Houston about 8 last night and unpacked, ate dinner, watched our Cubbies continue to lose to the Mets, turned off the tv and went to bed.
So that's a quick rundown of our weekend - how was yours? Did you do anything fun and exciting? I can't wait to catch up with your blogs and see how you spent your weekends. Thanks for stopping by to say hello and have a wonderful day! :)
Lots of love and hugs,
