Valentine Wreaths, Wine and Football

Happy Monday my dear friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and were able to relax or get a lot done, whichever you wanted to accomplish.  We had a wonderful and restful weekend and it was just so nice!  I told you yesterday that I enjoyed Saturday night with my girlfriend, Kathy, and each of our daughters.  I also told you that I had totally forgotten to take my camera so that I could have pictures of our "girls night", but I do have a couple of pictures to show you and that is of my wreath and my daughter's wreath.   Everyone's wreath but mine turned out very good.  I spent about 2.5 hours on the wreath and still didn't get it finished the way I wanted to.  The beads wouldn't line up right and the hot glue was so hot (I had a HIGH temperature hot glue gun and didn't know it) that it kept burning my fingers which also slowed me down and it left me a blister on my middle right finger - OUCH! And the stupid beads ALSO kept falling off no matter how hard I tried to keep them glued on - which is the reason I have tons of glue on my wreath. *sigh* But, it's my first time making a wreath e.v.a.h so please cut me a little slack um kay? Thanks! :o)

My daughter's beautiful wreath (it took her about 15 minutes to make)

And then, my UGLY wreath - wah wah wah

There you have it - but the most important thing of the night was the great time spent with my daughter and my good friend - Kathy and her daughter.  We relaxed, made wreaths, hung out and drank a couple of nice glasses of wine to go along with it.  This was one of the bottles we drank last night (we went through 3 bottles between 3 people - (her husband hung out with us sometimes too) but I only had 2 glasses total. :o)

It's called Vampire Wine

and they come with this ADORABLE wine cork (it's Red) and since I collect wine corks - it's a perfect addition to my collection. :o)

Anyway, the Chardonnay was pretty good - not a favorite - but a nice one to try.  And if you get a chance to check out the Hair Bows & Guitar Picks website - please do - she reviews bottles of wine EVERY Wednesday - and gives it to you straight.  One of my Christmas presents from one of my bosses this year, was $100 American Express giftcard - which I spent the entire amount on bottles of wine from her suggestions and have really enjoyed a lot of them already. (Noo... I promise, I am NOT a sot - just a wine snob - LOL)  So, if you enjoy wine as much as I do - and you are always on the lookout for a new one to try - please go visit her website - she'll be one of your new daily reads. :o)

While relaxing yesterday, we also watched the Jets vs. Colts game VERY closely.  If the Jets would have won then my hubster would have had to drive to New York at Midnight to pick up tshirts for his airports.  Well, I am happy to say that the Jets lost thankfully so that my husband got to stay home last night and relax with the family and will be under a lot less stress for the next few weeks now since they are no longer Superbowl bound.  YAY!!!  Though, I must say it was a very good game which started out quite close in the first half.  I hope that your teams won yesterday and if you are a Jets fan - I'm sorry - I kind of had a good reason for hoping that they wouldn't win. :o)  Afterwards we watched the Saints vs. Vikings game and I was SO HAPPY that my Southern friends, the Saints, won that game and are now in the Superbowl for the first time E.V.A.H!  I know Brett Farve has only been to the Superbowl once in his career, but... he's been once - the Saints have never been and today was just the day that the Underdogs won in both Play-off games and we were thrilled!  But when it comes to the Saints vs. the Colts in Superbowl - you can bet your sweet booties that I will be rootin for the Saints for sure! :o)

Well, that was how our weekend went - how about yours?  What did you do? Can't wait to hear all about it! P.S.  Tomorrow is Supah's Post-it Note Tuesday - be on the lookout for my weight stats to see how I've been doing the last few weeks! :o)

Have a wonderful and blessed day lovies!

Lots of love and kisses,
Trac- :o)
